Resolution is a measurement of the smallest detail that is visible in a video image, often shown in pixels. Resolution exists to give you a first impression of the TV's or Notebook's picture quality. Although the resolution is expressed in pixels, the ultimate picture quality is based on other variables like the quality of the lenses, display tubes, etc. A tip would then be not to listen to those sales guys that mainly focus on resolution… Walk away from them 😉
