ImgBurn ASPI Settings

I notice that ImgBurn defaults to SPTI and when I try to turn on ASPI is errors

My question is ... does SPTI perform better than ASPI and is there a I/O device layer that should be used with all burning programs

Re: ImgBurn ASPI Settings

You shouldn't notice a speed difference on any of them.

Your actual cd/dvd drive is the slowest part of the whole process so the I/O interface makes no difference.

All testing gets done with it on default settings - so in that sense, you should stick to SPTI unless you're not running with administrative privileges or something (where SPTI cannot then be used).

Thanks for the reply

I remember a few years back about the whole hoopla about ASPI and making sure it is installed and updated and really never even heard of SPTI ... that is why I asked
