I never will touch Blu-Ray, its a Sony format and I remember what happened to Beta-Max, they fooled me once but not twice, I will go with HD when the time comes.

With all the issues with blue disks, such as drm and issues of current equipment/disks not working with future disks/equipment, both sides refusal to licience dual format equipment, microsofts desire to have their media center pc's trump both formats, not to mention the high cost and the risk of getting screwed if you pick the format that doesn't win, I think I'm sitting this one out. I know some of these issues are rumors and some are confirmed, its enough to make me avoid it for now. Even if prices drop to a resonable level, till we know whats going to happen with the format, I have beter things to do with my money. Of course someone has to buy the stuff now and take the risk or both formats will die.

I'M with you Ripit, I'll read about here for a few years and then I'll make my decision but I still doubt I will buy anything Sony.

Besides, by the time they release movies you REALLY want to see in HD (f'rinstance, did T-3 even break-even in the US domestic release?) it'll be a couple of years and by then there should be some closure.
