Dear Forum,

LCD picture quality is bad for the first ~10min the TV is powered on then clears up. The display is very dark with trails or ghosting effect. This is a low use bedroom TV that is only 14 months in service. 2 Months past the 1 yr limited to warrenty. Go figure. Do you think it worth repairing. I'm pretty handy with electronics repair if I could source the right part. I'm not a TV tech but it seems power component related because after a warm up period the picture improves. Although I suspect it will fail completely over time. No more Toshiba TVs for me. I have a few Samsung flat screens that are not as old but so far so good.
Any feedback or opions appreciated . Thank You.

May I ask what size was the T.V. ?

How much did you pay for it ?

Just an opinion.

If you paid less than $500.00 for it then your probably better off buying a new one because the parts and labor will most likely take you to $500 range.
