Maybe that will help me figure it out also. LOL
Remember we still need the ability to pick the title wanting to watch and not try to skip through the ones we don't. There is a lot of new inner workings going on and a revamp etc......Most are resolved in the suggestions I have submitted and that was a huge list thanks to the testers here.

Re: DVD neXt COPY 3.0.5.6 Discussion

Well Dr Who

I did not get much time to spend on this project over the weekend. I did update all my BluRay software and made sure I could view BluRay movies on my computer.
I can view my store bought movies with no problems I can not view the Season 24 BluRay disc that I made last week.
It try's to start and pops up a window and then stops and does nothing.Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Is there something I missed? I will hopefully be able to try again tonight ( and will follow the new Tutorial ) and see what happens.

Re: DVD neXt COPY 3.0.5.6 Discussion

Not yet as I just made how to copy and used my burning tutorial I already have. I can try a burn to see on my end though. So we are trying to view from the hard drive the mt2s format?

No I put the disc into the other computer with the BluRay player and it has the Cyberlink software for watching movies on it.

I already had the program opened and after a few seconds of reading the disc a window opened and then shut closed right away.

I was expecting it to just start playing the disc, it could not bring up a menu and when clicking on the drive box it showed no disc in the drive at this point.

There should be no menu as of current but it should auto-play. O'll burn and try playing back today.

Re: DVD neXt COPY 3.0.5.6 Discussion

On my test computer here at work Win 7 Media Player sees the files ( AVCHD Video ) and will open and play them.

This one I do not have a burner on to test that part, but at least that tells me the first part may be working.

Re: DVD neXt COPY 3.0.5.6 Discussion

Dr Who

I just figured out why my size was off, On the first try here last week somehow it did not get every episode off of a couple disc.

The 24 Season shows have 4 shows per disc and for some reason ( Me or the program ) probably Me out of the 4 Disc I used I only have 12 shows out of the 16 that I should have.

I just tried 2 Disc and got everything so it looks like it falls on me unless it was some fluke with the disc.

Just thought I would let you know, it might mean a little more reference in the Tutorial about making sure you get everything with episode disc's.

Re: DVD neXt COPY 3.0.5.6 Discussion

Well it still did not work.

On the Win 7 machine, it will not read the Disc, with Media Player on and browsing for the files to play,it will not recognize them to play.

Going into the folder and double clicking on any of the mts files and media player opened them up and started playing them fine.

So it seems the files are being created properly, but they are not getting burned properly would be my guess.

Re: DVD neXt COPY 3.0.5.6 Discussion

Okay Dr Who I am trying a single layer movie disc to BluRay and came across this problem already,

Doing the movie Pure Country I put in a 25 Gig BluRay writable disc and got this message:

error: Invalid device ID or device is not a CD or DVD drive

Prepare collection

error: Too much data for this mode.

Now this was on a single movie less than 4 gigs.

I then put in a 50 Gig writable BluRay disc and the project started.

It has finished and i am going to add a second disc now and see what happens

Re: DVD neXt COPY 3.0.5.6 Discussion

I added the second movie and I can get to it but no autostart even for the one movie only.

And I did mean to say Re-Writable I am no where near close enough to use 1 write only disc.

I have to drill down to it through browsing, or go through folders and double click on which movie I want.May be a computer thing.

Still that error message and not being able to use a 25 gig disc means something is wrong.

Hey Dr Who

Did we find out anything on your trial, other thread ?

Do we know why a single disc would not go on a 25 Gig BluRay?

I have not had time to play with it here lately, hoping to redo my Win XP computer tonight and see what it does.

Re: DVD neXt COPY 3.0.5.6 Discussion

I have not received any other feedback from other users. This is kind of normal as the DVD to BD is kind of new as well to all around. I am not to sure the only thing I can think of is that the DVD's to BD you did exceeded the 23.x barrier or is that 22.x barrier? I had no issues burning but I only burned about 18 gigs too.

Re: DVD neXt COPY 3.0.5.6 Discussion

Dr Who

It was only 1- 4 Gig movie that I was trying, that is why I only put in a 25 Gig disc.
Maybe it didn't like the disc, I will try it with a different disc tonight if I get a chance.Or maybe a Win 7 thing.

Not sure on the Win7 thing as that is what I used on making this tutorial and I did burn to test it but had video without sound.
