Blu-ray Hardware, Software and Media Discuss, Whats the fastest Blu-Ray writing software? at High Definition forum; I have read quite a lot of posts about Blu-Ray software taking forever to burn files on the BD-R discs. Can anyone recommend the fastest software for burning BD-R discs because I thinking about burning some of my video files onto a BD-R disc from some of my DVD boxsets.

"some" might be faster than others but only because the "slower ones" act like its in the specs, by verifying directly after burning.

Some softwares do not and claim to be faster, but that is not true.

In the end, the media counts.

As chef said, some softwares enables defect management by default so you would want to disable it.

For Nero: see here: http://club.cdfreaks.com/1974491-post46.html
For ImgBurn: Settings > Write, check DVD-RAM / BD-RE FastWrite (should be checked by default).
In Nero CDSpeed: Options > Transfer Rate > checked Streaming.

Personally I prefer ImgBurn.

Any BD-R/RE media would do fine.

How are you going to do that?

I thought I could rip my DVDs to mpeg files and then burn them onto BD-R as data files and watch them on BD-R from my PC.
