I think at this time it's a waste. What are you going to use to burn the HD-DVD side with 
Really double sided DVD discs never seemed to take off and neither did double sided DVD-RAM discs.
edit:
Though i have DVD's i bought that had both full screen and wide screen on different sides so i don't know. -

I can see this working for stuff like movie production etc but for backups or something else? Eh? I'd rather get a double sided BD-R(E) or a double sided HD-DVD-R(W) and use that instead if I really really wanted a double sided media. Especially since there are no burners that can do both BD and HD-DVD (yet?).
Just a waste of time imo.
Also imagine the cost of that thing... They have to pay licensing to both authorities. -
