Just a quick note. Some people are still reporting jaggies with version 3.0 on mpeg4 avc encoded titles when played @1080p/24 from the A-30 and A-35. Think you have to be pretty picky to see it though.

New firmware for all the Toshiba HD-DVD players is out, version 4.0. Toshiba's web site is a little slow getting them all posted, but they're around. Some are reporting that the jaggies issue is much improved.

New LG GGW H20L Firmware YL05 I found at LG's US site.

I am building a new computer and had added this, LG|GGW-H20L RT, as one of my drives.

Anyway I went to http://us.lgservice.com and looked up the drive to make sure if there was a new firmware and found a recevt firmware.

GGW-H20L_YL05(EW).zip (the 2 files) in the zip are dated as:

GGW-H20L Version YL05 Firmware Update
To update the firmware of the GGW-H20L please refer to the following instructions:

Note: Not following the subsequent update instructions explicitly will result in
permanent damage to your drive, for which LG will not be responsible.

The drives must be original LG branded drives with the SMB model number GGW-H20L(no OEM units).
