Question: LG GGW-H20N not seeing bluray disc

I got the buffalo media station blu-ray station from a friend who some how killed it. I pulled the drive and placed it in my tower and it works so I started to wonder this site to figure out how to get the firmware updated, so thats done (xl05). The driver has not updated though and the drive does not see blu-ray discs but works fine with dvd's and cd's, am I missing something?
