Additionally I would have liked a bit more (rare) DVD media to be seen tested.

Thanks for your comments dakhaas, being a "First Look" instead of a full review I was limited on the media I was able to run.

What media would you like to see run? Let me know and if I have it I can run it

I appreciated this first look review. I purchased this drive recently. Are you aware of any firmware updates for it. Mine shipped with version 1.BO? It won't play a blue-ray that was just released.
