I think the HD-A30 is a better deal as it is 1080p not 1080i , and if I am reading the ad correctly it comes with 10 discs.

Reviews at AVS forums say the A30 has lackluster 1080p performance.. Besides most 1080p TVs have better deinterlacers than the players and picture quality will be as good if not better than going through a 1080p player..

If your looking for a good 1080p player, the Toshibe XA2 is the best since its using the REON processor but its at a price premium.. The A3, A30 and A35 use the Anchor Bay video processor..

Current Amazon prices are:

A3: $147
A30: $198
A35: $299

Expect these to go lower, and also be looking for HD-DVD movie sales.

Its already happening BJs Wholesale Club has HD-DVDs on sale for 18.99 and Bluray are over 30.00USD.
