hi there, my computer has got windows xp with service pack 2 with p4 processor.i bought seagate external desktop drive 1TB.when i start my computer connected to the external hard drive an error message is displayed "ATTEMPTING BOOT FROM USB DEVICE.....NTLDR MISSING....PRESS CTRL-ALT-DEL TO RESTART.When i press ctrl-alt-del then again it shows the same error message.I can start my computer with out connecting to external hard drive the error message comes only when i start my computer already connected to the extenal hard drive. and i can connect the hard drive after starting the computer, no problem. my computer is 2002 model compaq. Soultions for this question would be much appriciated. regards, dini.

Disable booting to external usb devices in your BIOS.

As an alternate, rearrange the boot device order so that the internal hard drive boots before external usb devices.

could you guide me how to disable external device in the BIOS.

WHERE IS BOIS HOW TO DISABLE OR WHERE TO FIND IT..?

ADVICE WOULD BE MUCH APPRICAIATED
