hi there, my computer has got windows xp with service pack 2 with p4 processor.i bought seagate external desktop drive 1TB.when i start my computer connected to the external hard drive an error message is displayed "ATTEMPTING BOOT FROM USB DEVICE.....NTLDR MISSING....PRESS CTRL-ALT-DEL TO RESTART.When i press ctrl-alt-del then again it shows the same error message.I can start my computer with out connecting to external hard drive the error message comes only when i start my computer already connected to the extenal hard drive. and i can connect the hard drive after starting the computer, no problem. my computer is 2002 model compaq. Soultions for this question would be much appriciated. regards, dini. |

| Disable booting to external usb devices in your BIOS. As an alternate, rearrange the boot device order so that the internal hard drive boots before external usb devices. |
