HOW CAN YOU FIX A SLOW PRINTER?

GUY.S
Here's a strange problem. I have an old computer that
had windows vista loaded. So I ran first a disc to upgrade all
the drivers. Then I loaded windows 7 premium into it. Everything
works fine except now the printer an HP OFFICEJET 4315 ALL IN ONE.
works slowley to print?. I tried reinstalling it, checking the settings,
and no dice. It's still in turtle mode.
BAFFELED ZAP.

Hi,

make sure the bi-directional mode is enabled.
Also check device manager if there are any problem indicators. And running Windows Update including the "search for drivers" option is recommended either.

This is just a stab in the dark but could be defaulting to USB 1.1 mode instead of 2.0?

Hm Good idea. I'd try another USB cable then.

Re: HOW CAN YOU FIX A SLOW PRINTER?

Have you run a self-test page on the printer to rule out a problem with the printer?
