Disc Printing and Labeling Discuss, Epson R280 & CISS Ink System at Computer Hardware forum; just curious. i'm looking at getting an epson r280 and a cis for it, but im wondering, if i buy a new r280 from ebay without the ink carts, and buy a cis seperate, can i install the cis without ever having installed an original epson ink cart? or would

or would it be better to buy a new r280 with the ink, install those first, then install a cis after the first carts run out?

well, after 2 days, 53 views and 0 replies, i went ahead and bought a 280 with ink carts to be on the safe side. thanks for everybody's wonderful help.
