I put one I picked up off ebay from china about two years ago for my Epson R200 and it has work great since then, it cost me about $60 and the tanks came full of ink also. Tanks I think about 100ml each, I have been using the ink from IMS-Ink and have had no clogging with it at all. I would not buy another inkjet printer if I couldn't get a CISS system for it. You should have no problem with it. -

I have now had my Matrix Ink CISS for the Epson R320 about a week since I first posted this.
I have to say it is awesome.
I have printed something like 400ea 4"x6" borderless photos, two dozen 8.5" x 11" photos and at least 100 DVDs and CDs.
Best aftermarket product I have ever bought for anything.
I especially like how the Yellow tank and the Black tank are larger than the other tanks as these are the two that are used the most. -

I bought mine at ebay for R300. I'm pretty happy about it, good inks, works well.
BTW sometime you need to run special utility to reset counters to infinity. Ur CIS seller should provide one for you. -

Hi,
I have used CISS for Epson for R320 for 4 years, have had excellent experience with it. I would recommend that you use inkrepublic.com to buy your ciss system. They are a little pricier than some suppliers but I just bought 1 of their ciss systems for my new Epson R380, and it worked perfectly right out of the box. I lost $85 to a place called inkjetsoutlet.com in NY. their product was faulty, and after promising me a refund, they did not refund my money.
Back to the R320 -- you'll have to take off the bracket that fits on top of the ink cartridge bay (just 2 screws and a spring) but it's no big deal. I would still be using mine, but the waste ink pads in the bottom of the printer filled up, and required replacing. By the time I figured out how to do that, the ink nozzles had dried up and the printer couldn't be fixed. Good luck, you'l be very happy with a ciss system, and save a lot of $$ too!

jeff,Quote:I've been looking all over the Internet.. Had anyone figured out a CISS or how to refill R3800 Pro ink carts yet??
In a case like this you want to start your own thread.
Anyway, I'm not an Epson guy but here's Pro 3800, hopefully that's what you need :

I don't have any Epsons but I know that the CISS people often use *ARC in their systems for obvious reasons.
Make sure contacts are clean and try re-seating. If that doesn't help, you might have a bad ARC on your Yellow cart.

Hi. Been using this http://cgi.ebay.com/CIS-CISS-for-Eps...QQcmdZViewItem CISS in my RX680 for about a year now, nice ink and no hassle other than 1 time had to unplug printer to get it to recognize cartridges again(mentioned in instructions). Done a lot of printing with it and seems to sip ink slower than my R340. Pretty easy install, too. 680 is a nice disc scanner/printer, isn't it?Quote:I've been looking at this one for my RX680. Had similar problems in the past w/ CISS. First, make sure you press down on each individual cartridge to make sure they're all clicked in place(when they're all hooked together, easy to not get one of them seated). Unsnap, lift, and re-seat the cartridges. Take a look at the chips on the cartridges to be sure they're all snapped in properly, and no plastic covering them. On one set, I had to slip a paper shim between two of the cartridges to get the chip to line up properly. On another, found the chip wasn't pressed tight against cartridge . Did you try unplugging the printer and restarting it?Quote:I have a Epson R360 which i bought a ciss system for.On installation i keep getting messagage yellow TO804 INK CARTRIDGE CANNOT BE RECONISED,MAKE SURE CARRIDGES ARE INSTALLED PROPERLY. Last resort, report it to the seller. One of the sets I tried on my R340 came w/ a defective chip, and the seller was good enough to send me out a new set of chips to remedy the problem. Hang in there, once you get a CISS working, its a beautiful thing.

Oops, R360 bug slipped my mind. Helped a friend w/ this couple years ago. R360 printers made after February of 2007 had a different chip, and CISS w/ the first gen ARC chips don't work with the newer printers. There is a newer chip available that works w/ them, but found a few sellers still selling the old CISS w/ a warning about the problem. Probably other sellers unaware or just not bothering to post a warning. Anyone thinking CISS for one of these printers, be sure ad mentions newer chips for all models, or ask seller before buying. Ended up buying a new set of chips for my friend's CISS(cheapest solution).Quote:I have a Epson R360 which i bought a ciss system for.On installation i keep getting messagage yellow TO804 INK CARTRIDGE CANNOT BE RECONISED,MAKE SURE CARRIDGES ARE INSTALLED PROPERLY. I have got away from ciss and now use the refillable cart. less trouble do not have to place a unit outside the printer and you can refill them inside the printer. Here are to site for these. These say r680 do not know if there is a difference.

If you go to ebay and search ciss rx680 you will find ciss systems but like I said above I do not buy them anymore use the refillable cart. less trouble.
If you buy the refillable I show here make sure you follow the steps provided and remove the white plugs in the top of eacch cart so they can get air or you will not get them to print.
