Wi-Fi media receiver with included DVR

Does Archos' new Wi-Fi media receiver leave Apple behind? According to Rik Fairlie at ZDNet the new Wi-Fi media receiver "one-ups Apple TV by enabling you to record content from your television". The Archos TV+ comes with a web browser that enables you to watch content from websites like YouTube, but according to Fairlie this isn't the coolest feature.

To differentiate itself from other media receivers, Archos included a DVR. A built-in programming guide should help you with finding the right content and of course if needed, you can store. The Atchos TV+ comes in two capacities: 80GB and 250GB, costing $249,99 and $349,99 respectively.

Archos' TV+ connects wireless, or through Ethernet, to your PC and should easily stream videos, MP3s and JPEGs. "The Archos TV+ will appeal most to those who use other Archos portable media players because it can easily transfer TV recordings to the portable devices, giving you on-the-go access to your video content. I found the interface a little clunky but the TV+ seems to be a solid solution to those who aren’t wedded to iTunes," Fairlie says.
