Corsair to showcase its flash memory products at CeBIT

Corsair will be showcasing its flash memory products, RAM memory and power supply products at the CeBIT in Germany.  Its showcase of flash memory products will include its recently introduced Flash Voyager GT and its ReadyBoost enabled TurboFlash USB drive for improved Windows Vista performance.

The company launched its Voyager GT USB drive line just a few weeks ago, which feature up to 34MB and 28MB read and write transfer rates respectively, giving it up to 5 times the transfer rate of typical USB flash drives.  Other features include 256-bit encryption with its TrueCrypt encryption software and all-rubber housing to protect it from moisture, physical abuse to even severe temperatures.  These drives are available in capacities of 2GB, 4GB and 8GB.

Its TurboFlash drives come in capacities of 512MB and 1GB, which give a significant boost to the PC responsiveness when used with Microsoft's new ReadyBoost flash technology, particularly on systems with 512MB of RAM.  This technology works by using flash memory instead of the hard disk for quickly storing and retrieving data, as data can be accessed more quicker from flash memory.

Finally, for those who are interested in having the largest capacity USB flash drive around, Corsair produces a 16GB USB Flash drive, large enough to hold a full installation of the Microsoft Windows OS, along with applications and documents, fully bootable on a PC capable of booting from USB.  16GB is the equivalent capacity to almost 4 DVDs or over 20 CDs of data.  This drive features a read and write transfer rate of 22MB/s and 7MB/s respectively and 8-bit Error Correcting Codes to recover from data corruption.

Corsair will be showcasing its families of products from March 15th-21st at Booth B38, Hall 21 at the CeBIT in Germany.  The full press release on its upcoming CeBIT showcase can be read here.
