| It may be a little early to get rid of your Vista PCs Did you try it with Vista? Are you using 32bit Win7 or 64bit?

| hi, The DVD to Xbox360 output depend on the Windows WMP, which version of your WMP ? I just check the error code, just report the begin writing has error, I am not sure what problem it is, please try to select other folder to output, like select folder in "My Document". I will check this problem in Win7. Thanks report the problem.

Hi Ting, Win7 beta is running WMP 12.0.7000.7000 I tried the newest beta of dvdfab at Supports suggestion and that produced the same result. I also tried selecting a new folder to save to and same result. Let me know if I can test any bits |
| Any progress on this issue with Win7? Same error here. Thanks. |

You might try installing Win7 into a VM on both machines, and see if DVDFAB will work in the VM on both boxes. If it works in one and not in another, try swapping the DVD drives in the machines. If the machine that previously didn't work now works, it's your DVD drive. |
| Yep, Im getting the same error. Task_1 failed! Error=4(501 18 -1072886856) So far ripping dvd's works fine for Main Movie but not xbox360. Win 7 - 64 bit MSI mobo / Nvidia chipset AMD Phenom 9500 Quad Proc. 2.20GHZ 8 gig of RAM 1 TB drive Sony DVD Recorder 1 gig eVga video card |
| Hoping we see some resolution shortly. I realize that Win7 is a few months off from full commercial release but there must be work going on to get DVDFab to function under Win7. I assume the issue is related to the new version of WMP. If testers are needed here I am. I have tried a couple of other DVD to WMV converters. Both have worked fine but not to the same produced quality of what I have come to expect from DVDFab. |
| hi, Sorry for not fix this problem so long, I will install a win7 and create the develop environment to test and fix this problem, I hope this will be fixed in the next beta version, Thanks for the patient.

| I have the exact same problem on my Win7 machine (same error code, as well), while I have no issues with the same software on the same machine in Vista (I'm using a dual boot). DVD to DVD works fine in Win7. |
| I see a new version was released but not Win7 compatibility. Good things come to those who wait... |
| what is dvd to xbox? i clone my dvd's and the play fine on my xbox. is there a way to clone a xbox 360 disc that will play on the 360 with out doing anything to the 360? i've lost a few disc with them rings the 360 sometimes puts on the disc. |
| We're talking about ripping the DVD to a wmv file and playing the wmv file through the xBox natively or through WMCenter with the xBox as an extender. Not cloning a xBox game. Hope that helps. |
| Ting, any progress, update or timing for the Win7 platform? Thanks. |

| I didn't see any mention of DVD to Mobile support for Win 7 in any of the 6.0.3.* betas, or in the final 6.0.4.0 release... Looks like a new 6.0.4.2 beta is out and still no mention of this... Anyone else in the know care to comment further? A quick search in the forums shows that a number of people are looking for this feature (myself included)... Thanks! |
| Seems to be a hands off approach at this point. I posted a similar question on the beta 6.0.4.2 note but did not get a response regarding the question. |
| hi, about the win7 support problem, we have fixed some problem in UI when running in win7, but the for the problem of xbox360 output, there is some delay for this, because I am refactory some code of mobile part, the encode interface of wmv,wma has changed, which can help improve the correct encode and speed, so I need more time to do this. thanks.
