| Hey all, I recently started playing with making files for my BlackBerry 8310. I'm using DVDFab Plat 4.0.1.0. I'm using the profile that creates mp4(mpeg4 + aac) file, which can be played in LG VX9400 cellphone and setting it to 320x240 resolution. Everything works fine for the first hour or so of a movie. Once it gets past there, it pauses every 3 minutes no matter if it has come to the end of a chaper or not. I have the file saved on a 2 GB Micro SD card in the phone. It's a high speed card so shouldn't be slow. Anyone have any ideas why it is pausing even when not anywhere near an end of chapter? I just have to hit the "play" button to get it to start up again. It starts right where it pauses. When it loads the file, it reports the full length of time the file would play. It's not like it recognizes a shortened file or anything. Anyone have any ideas why it would start pausing like this after about an hour of it working w/o pauses. Any help is appreciated. Thanks all! |

| Try playing the file on your PC to see if it exhibits the same problem. Could be the BBerry overheating or a flaky memory card. If you don't already have VLC Media Player, it is a reliable test tool and is free. Here is the download link.

| Thanks for the feedback Signals. The file works fine on my PC. I also went and tried viewing the same movie files the next day. I think it's eaither a memory leak in the BB Media Player app or like you said, an overtemp issue of some sort. About 12 hours after the issues, I loaded a movie and fast forwarded to a part I know it was having problems. Then I played it. It played just fine all the way to the end. Not a single hiccup. I'd like to test with a power off or a hard reboot when it is doing this also to rule out a memory leak issue. The 8310 didn't feel any warmer than normal when it was failing. I'm thinking this is a bug that needs to be reported to RIM. |
