Question: sometimes it writes
| DVDFab / DVD Region+CSS Free Discuss, sometimes it writes at Movie copy software forum; Ok, troy, found the the-on -the-fly, unchecked the box, now for the conflict that happens between anydvd and fab, I do get a pop-up prior to fab opening, stating ( anydvd is detected. you need to disable anydvd to make dvdfab work correctly ) now I never really gave this |
| Ok, troy, found the the-on -the-fly, unchecked the box, now for the conflict that happens between anydvd and fab, I do get a pop-up prior to fab opening, stating ( anydvd is detected. you need to disable anydvd to make dvdfab work correctly ) now I never really gave this much thought as when I clicked on the ok, fab opened and I would start ripping or what ever task I was there to do and when fab was done it would tell me that the rip/write was successful. as far as the code where it appears to show 2 drives I can't explain that, the RE in there was the media I first used, a sony re-writable disc. I use windows live one care for virus & malware protection, however for grins I am going to run the one you offered up just to see if something is lurking in the background, I am running GMER at the moment when that finishes I will try AVG root kit & malwarebytes so let me run these guys, and I will let you know if some thing shows up that shouldn't be there, thank you for the suggestions and assist |

| Hi troy512, was wondering if you do BD's. Tried that Malwarebytes there where a few issues took care of those, ran GMER no red flags there and finally ran AVG just a few tracking cookies cleaned that up, still can't write from full, so I thought let's try V6.0.1.9 and a funny thing happened here, target came up fine, but when I put in source, the whole program shut down, so I have switched back to2.2. now I know StormJumper had some suggestions for tweeking ImgBurn as a stand alone, so this raises a question, if I go into ImgBurn as a stand alone and made other changes in a attempt to get the full mode to write will this have any affect on ImgBurn in Fab, I know this is probably a dumb question, but I don't know the answer. Also found the problem with the conflict in anyDVD, I had not exited the program also discovered that I can clone with out any problems.anyway thanks for the help and suggestions. |
| well thats good you did not have a rootkit on your system. i am still wondering why you have problems with your drives showing up in imgburn and why imgburn seems to think you have two separate drives a BD-RE drive and a BD-ROM drive. all the settings you make in ImgBurn are the settings used when dvdfab calls imgburn for writing. i do not own anything BD related, except my HDTV, which is actually only a 720. |
| Yeah that one's a curiosity for me as well, I sure we will get it worked out. thanks for the reply. |
| It's probably a virtual drive. (VCD or DT).

| OK, that makes sense I do have VCD, that's why it shows another drive. Thank for that LIGHTNING UK ! |
| I had to remove the AnyDVD device filters. They caused unpredictable read behaviour with DVDFab and WinDVD.

| Hi Signals, How do I go about doing that, I was looking in setting on anyDVD and could not see any thing about device filters, thanks for the reply and suggestion. |
