Consider yourself lucky. One of the worst movies I've ever watched.

All kidding aside. I use FixVTS on newer releases, as it seems to clean-up remnants of crap DVDFab sometimes misses.

Sorry, I rushed and didn't read your attachments the first time. Try enabling Pathplayer. If that does not work, disable it and try again.

That's odd. My friend used v5.0.4.0 to back up his disc using "custom" mode, and it came out fine.

Semi-Pro failed backup burn
will a back up to hard drive play? semi-pro had issues when it was released which have been fixed.

its a burn error.

slow down the write speed to 2.4x

you are using Verbs DL but you have an older drive.

did you flash to the 1.08 firmware or did the drive come with it?

please read the Plextor FAQ

and see this post

The plextor has the latest firmware I updated it when it came out. The drive hasn't had any problems burning any other movies.

Yes it plays from the hard drive. I even tried using anydvd like some others suggested and that didn't work either.

ok i took a closer look at your logs and i was looking at the wrong burn log.

so my comments about the DL may not be valid in this particular case. however you still had a burn error, its not a decryption error.

try changing the write type from packet writing to SAO

what do you mean it didnt work. you have clearly copied to the hard drive and have successfully played. anydvd does not burn, what did you use to burn when you used anydvd to decrypt? can you post a log from that burn? or did you just run anydvd with dvdfab and use VSO for burn engine?

did you read the Plextor FAQ?

ok you did flash, good. please do a re-flash. this may help to clear any autowrite strategies which may be causing errors.

I ran AnyDVD in the background and used Fab to decrypt then burn using the vso engine. I slowed the speed down to 2.4 and it made it to 40 something % and then gave me another burn error. I have tried this every way, full disk on a dual layer, customize on a dual layer, movie only on a single layer (Verbatim also) and it always fails the burn. Like I said before I haven't had this problem with any other backups, just semi-pro. Going to try to switch the packet writing next and see how that does. Just tired of making coasters. Also just reflashed the drive too. We'll see?

Have to agree you need to switch to SAO writing as packet writing is known to give writing errors

with your dl layer disc the SAO or Packet writing will not make a difference only with the dvd-r.

please reflash the drive

shutdown and physically disconnect and check all connections.

have you recently updated any drivers? what drivers are you using for your sata connection? how do you have it set in bios?

when was the last time you cleaned the inside of the drive?
