New Protection On Blades of Glory

There is a new protection on the "Blades of Glory" disc which DVDFab cannot handle. Attached please find the zipped IFOs I found on another board.

I backed up this movie last night without any problem using DVDFab Platium 3.1.7.0

Great, I had read about problems with this movie on another board but glad to hear it's OK.

no problems for movie only with 3.1.6.5 on canadian release

I don't understand how the backup I made using 3.1.7.0 didn't have any problem. I've just checked it out again and watched the entire move. It plays all the way thru without any problem.

there are probably a couple different copies in circulation one with and one without its not the first time the studios have done this and will not be the last that much you can count On!!

There are at least two versions for region 1, so you may get one without new protection.

well as normal it is nothing new thats what the studios do I have seen it so many times its a enough to drive normal folks and authors mad...BTW great work as always!!

if you want to backup almost the whole disk use the customize
and do not select from 30 on it seems that the protection is in those titles or chapters
you can check all others and get all the extras and bonus features if you use ver.3173 and set it to full movie all you get is the movie only and all the screens for the bonus and setup and they dont do anything

Do you "preserve menus" when Customize? Do you mean unselect title 30,31,32,33,34?

For the "Full Disc", do you mean the picture is copied correctly, but the button functions is unusable?

yes i let it preserve the menues and only select the chap that dont freeze it up

i also used 3170 release to do it

What do we do with the zip files?

I'm having problems with this movie. I'm using dvdfab plat. 3.1.7.5. I use just movie, and full disc. Burning speeds are really high for some reason. I never had any other problems with speed before. Any help would be grateful.

Update to version 3.1.7.6

Try burning at 4X or 8X also it would help if you d/led the latest version which is 3.1.7.6

I had 3.1.7.5 and didnt work right would get freezes so downloaded 3.1.7.6 a few minutes ago and works so far.

how fast does the new version run for you? Took 45 mins for me....now having problems copying anything with Nero.

DMA went back to PIO mode maybe?
