| I'd like to vote for a Merge function for DVD-to-Mobile and File-to-Mobile - creating a single output file for a movie that spans more than one DVD would be great! Until then there are free video joining tools so it's just an extra step. |
| If I can get another vote, I'd also like DVD/File-to-Mobile to allow for input of the metadata associated with some of the file formats. For example, WMV files support a title, MPAA rating, release year, etc. some of which (most importantly the title) the XBox 360 reads and displays. In an ideal world, it would be great if some/all of this information could be populated automatically via something like an IMDB parser. Perhaps DVDFab could also even use DVD information like the volume name and chapter listing to create a CDDB-style database of your own to add this information as a great added value to your already great program (the easiest way is probably to have a user-entered set of seed data). |
| For many years I have been using Nero. A little background/motivation on my feature request at the bottom. Some time back already Nero started to focus on multimedia matters and right now Nero is full of bells and whistles that I actually donot need. In fact, when installing I only select 'burning ROM'... By far Nero does not have the same features as DVDFab (removing protection, splitting DVDs, selecting audio and subtitles, things like that). I am now comparing various products, like DVDFab, AnyDVD, DVD Cloner, 1Click DVD Copy, etc. DVDFab I like most: nice and easy to understand GUI, it can rip fm harddisk to harddisk (which is handy in case you donot have he original DVD anymore and is faster), etc. However, close to the point that I wanted to say 'bye bye' to Nero, I discovered that DVDFab does nót burn single non-DVD files to DVD or CD. Single files: documents, photos, whatever. For that I would still need Nero and have two applications on my system... Likely burning such single files is not something DVDFab is designed for to do and therefore not it's first priority, but I definitely think there is a market there. People like me, who donot need all the media-extra's that Nero (and alike) are offering, because they already have dedicated media-software to do that, but still they need to be able to burn single non-DVD files PLUS the DVDFab features. Also they prefer not to pay any longer for updates on two different licenses. Therefore my feature-request is to add write "File to DVD/CD". Don't know whether it is difficult to implement... DVDFab already has something like 'File to Mobile'. Thank you. = |
| Now that we have a File Mover application, I would like to access File Mover on its own and not just as an option at the completion of the "DVD to Mobile" option. Perhaps adding File Mover to the application list in the left hand column would be the best way to do this. I would like to use FM as a quick and easy alternative to iTunes to transfer movies I've already ripped/encoded from my hard drive onto my iPod, but other than the dialog that pops up when DVD to Mobile completes, I can't find a way to do this. |

| Ok, here is a question your 10yr olds can answer. I would like to use dvdfab to copy/shrink my movies so that I may do like the ones I bought in Iraq. There are multiple movies on one dvd and some of the quality on the dvds is actually still very good. My unit is going back and I would like to copy all my movies besides using a HD (want back ups just in case of HD failure). Thanks for the advice! |
| I would love a default menu option when using the "Merge" feature. This would alow a main menu so the user can select between the titles that have been merged when playing them back. Does anyone on here know the best setting to rip a DVD to a Blackberry Storm? |

| Create a quick way to temporarily disable path player. By default I leave path player always enabled, but there are some DVDs that require it to be disabled. It is a pain to change the setting, restart DVDFab, rip the disc, and then remember to reverse the process before the next disc. In my opinion, anything that needs to be changed from disc to disc should have an on-screen control. |
| There are several stable bugs in dvdfab 6. One of them is when i convert mkv files to avi some mkvHDrips stops converting after 10-20%. Program say that file is converted and some files it just crush and say nothing. When converted mov files to avi the program always stop converting in 80% file. Please do something with this bag and do program more stable. This is the best video converter fo me bat it must be more stable. |
| And one more bug i found. Video Fab converter convert on my pc files with speed 30-60 fpc.(files to mobile). New versions of DVDFAB 6 convert file to mobile(mkv to avi) with speed 25-10 fps max and slower and slower. Please increase conversion speed like in old versions FAST! |
| Vercion 6.0.1.0 final has the last fast converter. Then autor make this improvements and latest version make slow converter. I anderstand update codec is important but not if the speed is bad than. Sorry for my bad inglish DVDFab "File to Mobile": New: Updated A/V codecs to latest version. New: Added support for GPU acceleration for video decoding. New: Both DXVA and CUDA GPU acceleration are supported, and user can choose which one to be used. Note: you may need update graphic card driver to enable CUDA. New: Currently only H264/VC1 in M2TS files are supported for GPU acceleration. MKV and other file formats will be supported later. |
