This option Should give you the capability to merge all the various title-sets, etc. into a single .VOB file instead of creating the individual 1gb files. I believe the default behavior has to do with the max filesize of DVD file system/FAT32, but for those of us that use NTFS that don't have the file size limit issue, it would be nice to see a single .VOB file, as there are a lot of nice .VOB players out there, so playing right off the Harddrive is another options for viewing your DVD backup.

DVDFab Platinum 3 rocks

I really enjoy the customize feature however i dont like the DVDFab logo thats put in place of the title(s) that were removed. I would rather it be a black blank screen.

Thanks again for making such an awesome products

Hi ZacWolf and others wanting to combine VOB files,
As a quick workaround you can use the "copy /b" command in a dos window.
This will combine all the vob files into a single vob file.
Use in the format of "copy /b file1.vob + file2.vob + file3.vob newfile.vob"
Cheers
Alan

When converting a dvd to avi (divx or xvid), sometimes the result seems had to be de-interlaced....
This is not a problem looking on a TV, but looking the result avi on computer is enough problematich

I would like to see the generic option include audio MP3 ripping only, no video. But, more than anything mentioned so far I think it is imperative that the graphics and 'idiot proof' user interface be maintained. Alot of the suggestions above don't seem to bear this in mind.

Great program

I was just hoping for an option that I can set so that when I put the Dvd in my Dvd player it will start right at the Main menu. That means if I customize the dvd like take out the beginning trailers etc there is no black (or DVDfab) screen before the menu.

thanks

The Fab logo in place of the title that is removed is a definate reason not to puchase this software as far as I am conserned. I recently had a trial version. I assumed I did something wrong or it was because I had a trial version. Does the logo you are referring to look like this:

I tried to add an attachment but I don't see it.

What i would like to is is that DVDFab can make a .ISO & .MDS file, like DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 does (in ISO mode).
So that the Layer Breach Bit is preserved on it's original position for DVD9/DVD DL disc's.
Then burn the image using ImgBurn from Lightning UK!

Maybe this is something I can not locate with version 2.9.8.2, is there a way I can tell it to make an .ISO file on a specific drive? Sometimes I use VLC Media Player to play ISO files on a long road trip.

Thanks a lot.

fengtao would it be possible for DVD FabDecrypter to get the ability to generate a stream information txt file DVD Decrypter did & also the possibility of a txt file containing the chapter information.

This was really useful when encoding movies into other formats like MPEG-4.

Thanks.

Hi,I would like to see a option that could be added to DVD Fab so you could make more than one backup without starting all over.Kind of like on some cd burning software that has a number of copies option that when one is done it will ask for a blank dvd to do the next one. Thanks

It already does that or you can save it to burn later.

This is a request for a way future option (after all the tech /documentation issues are completed)...

By default, choosing one of the "<2.8 Firmware" options when copying to PSP, a .THM file is auto generated.

It was be excellent if there was some way to choose where in the video you would like to have the thumbname generated from. Even if it's just a standard X number of seconds long if you could then choose the "start point" in the video that is captured to the thumbnail that would be a really awesome option.

It could possibly be worked into the "preview" functinoality in some way?

Thanks!

When splitting a DVD I would like an option to set disc 1 to end rather then loop back to the title. That way, those of us with home theater Multi Disc DVD players, would have disc 1 and disc 2 in their player. When disc 1 is finished playing it would just end; triggering the DVD player to automatically switch to the next disc in the player.

He he he, I finally made myself a paid user today!

I'd like to request the following features:

RECAP:
1) An option, somewhere, to rip to a single .VOB file (thanks for the "copy /b" instructions AlenBes, but would still like this as an option in the program)

2) Ability to specifiy a "start point in the video" that would be used for generating the PSP .THM thumbnail file. (Basically I'm still have to use PSPVideo9 to generate a THM from a file, which adds overhead to the process).

NEW:
3) BATCH ripping of a single DVD. When I RIP, I usually rip to a 16:9 mp4 file for PSP, then repeat the whole process to rip a 4:3 m4p file for iPOD. Would be nice if I could somehow set the app to do any combination of ripping options, in sequence, without having to manually reselect title, subpicture, etc. I know this would be tricky from the UI perspective but it would be a really nice feature to have in the future.

Thanks for the excellent product!

HI

I would like to get sound from the preview window when I click on a track like main movie, their is no audio from the preview window on the bottom left. I do not know what tracks to delete (or make sure it removes the right one). If this is a problem only in the trial version then it would be great to add it.....

thanks

The preview window shows video at a higher speed than "normal" so audio there probably wouldn't be helpful.

Maybe some kind of feature to "normal speed" preview the "results" of what you have selected? Maybe when you press "Next" after selecting the first option, a new screen that would basically let you "watch" the output of your selection, prior to actually doing any burning? Then if something is missing or you've included too much, you could go "Back" and re-select?

I never noticed that the "preview speed" was higher than "normal", but now that you point it out, it makes sense...
Yes, a "...feature to "normal speed" preview the "results" of what you have selected?...", would be helpful...

It (Platinum) can already do this! Common Settings, DVD-to-DVD, Split, then look over to the right. You can choose DVDFab logo or black screen in the pulldown.

Hey thanks alot signals, i didnt even notice the "Common Settings" option. If you click on the star you'll see the "Common Settings" option. Perhaps a message should appear when you move the mouse over the star just to make it clear their is an option their.
