Since you are using DVDFab HD Decrypter, you are somewhat limited with what you can do with the program.

Basically, you can take a DVD, put it in your DVD drive (which, after Fab opens the disc, becomes your 'source')

You are allowed to write the output to your Hard Drive (no compression), but at least you get to choose which folder to write it to, and that's about it.
(that becomes your 'target')

If you want it compressed to fit on a single layer blank, or change it to an ISO image file, or even write it at all to a blank DVD, you'll need additional software to do these tasks.

Based on what you've written, looks like the program is performing as it should.

Like Mr. O said you will need 2 more programs along with the one you have or else you could just buy Fab Gold or Platinum and then you can do it all with just either of those programs

I would recommend going with at least the Gold version. It's well worth the money. I have the Platinum ver. myself even though I don't use near all of the many features. But I figured, in for a penny, in for a pound. Because I don't know what I'll be needing in the future. Back when I only had Fab decrypter, I used DVD Clone as my compressor and burning engine. Good luck choosing. ~ Mike

Just to try and sum up...
If you prefer to stay with freeware (as suggested by O'C), these would be my preferences:

Rip : DVDFab HD Decrypter
Compress/Re-author: Shrink
Burn: Img

Why not try the 30 day free trial?
Both Gold and Platinum are fully functional and are identical to the retail versions.
They simply cease to function if not purchased within 30 days.

Here is a comparison of the 3 applications:
http://www.dvdfab.com/fab-compare.htm

Platinum only costs $10 more at the time of purchase.
I have owned Platinum for going on 5 years and
it remains the best bang-for-the-buck software I have ever purchased.
To me, this is a no brainer.
