Dvdfab Platinum Help!!!

I recently just tried to burn Transformers onto a dvd. It compressed it to 56% quality but when I tried to watch the movie on my dvd-r it worked fine all the way up to the end of the movie where it started skipping and eventually was unable to read the disc. Is there a way to fix this or is the movie just too long?

Welcome to the forum chump0,what type of media are you using,what is your burn speed?

I am using sony dvd-rw version 1.3 discs and I am not sure of my burn speed...is there a way I can see find that out...I dont see anywhere for settings on my dvd platinum.

I just found my settings and it is on recommended for the burn speed

Fab save a log it will tell you there,look for a dvd fab folder in "my documents".DVD-RW media is not so good to burn a dvd on.Try either +r or-r.

I believe it is at 16x

16x is to fast,change from recommended to 8x. Also paste your last burn log: C:\Documents and Settings\..user name...\My Documents\DVDFab\Log\DVDFab_burn_VSO.log. This is a text file that you can open with Notepad and copy and paste entries into a reply post.

The drive firmware apparently doesn't like the Sony media:

What does that mean exactly with the writing speed and effective x2.4

A couple of things:
1 Check set booktype to dvd-rom in settings(you are using dvd+r not dvd-rw)
2 Set your write spped to 8x(recommened is only burning at 2.4)
3 Most important download newest version you are using 3.0.2.0 newest is 3.2.1.0 you can find it at the top of this forum.
4 change read for auto to spti
