 Shot at 2008-07-13 Recently I have been getting this error. It has happened with three of the last four movies I tried to backup. One was brand new, the one that worked was a old movie called Basic Instinct but the disk was brand new. One of the movies that failed was also new. The version of DVD Fab 5 Platinum is now, 5.0.5.0. I just downloaded this latest version after the previous version I had started to give me this error. I wasthinking that maybe my Sony DRU-510A drive was going bad until I noticed that DVD Shrink works just fine. All four disks backed up fine with DVD Shrink 3.2. About the time that DVDFab started failing was after I had cleaned a virus from my PC and uninstalled McAfee and installed Symantic endpoint protection. Is it possible that the Symantic Endpoint Protection is somehow causing this problem with DVDFab 5? |

| Try the latest version which is 5.0.6.0 which came out today also in setting have path player set at always enable as most of the newer movies require path player to be enabled,( that was what it was telling you to do)

| It seems you have a bad media, please try to clean it or exchange a new one to see the result.

| It is multiple disks. 2 of them were brand new or almost brand new with no scratches. All disks were readable by DVD Shrink. |
