Using DVDFab 6.0 with the Blu Ray Option,I have no problem ripping a Blue Ray Movie "The Dark Knight" to make a backup copy, to my Hard Drive. The problem is with burning it. VSO engin won't work but Image Burn if I use it not as a DVDFab option but open it up independently.

Image burn shows that it will take approx 3 hours to burn at 0.9kb/sec. The movie file size is 39GB and using a TDK BD-RW Double Layer (1-2x speed) 50GB with LG GGW-H20L Blu Ray burner. Everything is going well for 50% of the burn and then the burn speed just dies dropping down to 0.1 KB/sec giving me an estimate time of finishing of 36hours. I tried a bunch of times to suceed in making a blu ray backup copy but to no avail. I just gave up and will wait until things are fixed and Blu Ray disks are faster and cheaper.

Why is version 6.0.0.0 beta advertised here and not at the DVDFab web site, specifically at http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm?s=fabplatinum

Because it's only a Beta release, DVDFab website mostly only lists the official releases. The page does give a link to the 5.3.2.2 Beta here at CDfreaks.

v6 is listed with a download link on the Release Notes page of the Tutorial. v5.2.5.0 is also linked.

Try burning the ripped files from your hard drive with ImgBurn.

    zania,
"Try burning the ripped files from your hard drive with ImgBurn"

That's what I've been trying to do. In my post I referred to ImgBurn as Image Burn which might of made you think that I wasn't using ImgBurn to burn my ripped files.

    Thank you

Thanks DVDKingdom, but please go to http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm?s=fabplatinum and look just below the box for DVDFab and VideoFab Converter and you will find a hyperlink to club.cdfreaks for beta 5.3.2.2. This is where numerous betas have historically been listed. The only reason I found out about beta 6.0.0.0 was because someone mentioned it at another forum, and when I didn't find it listed in it's usual place I ran a search at club.cdfreaks and found it.

So my question stands, why is this beta listed here and not at DVDFab.com?

It is not in the usual spot on the download page (where 5.3.2.2 is linked) but is listed on the website here: http://www.dvdfab.com/docs/index.php...eaturesRelease
Don't know why 5.3.2.2 Beta is still linked.

Thanks signals! It's an odd place to advertise releases, but I guess I'll start monitoring that page.

The ones you don't have a registration key for, have a trial period, after the trial period you will have to pay to continue to use that option

JR, you don't mention which operating system you're using. As an fyi, 5.x has never worked for me on Win 98. Works fine on XP, though.
