News: DVDFab 5.2.2.5 Beta is out

Ok,,now I am haveing the same problem as everyone eles...Got the movie copied now it will not recognize the blank disk never had this problem b5 installing 5.2.2.5..

Same problem here when trying to detect the blank media DVDFab 5.2.2.5 just sits there and constanly tries to scan for blank media type.

Ditto here...Please help Fengtao! Reverted back to 5222 and recognizes blanks!

Brings back memories, Fab you spoiled me , Copied Bangkok too HD not dvd burner, use old software to burnit. Have not burn with ImgBurn but Im sure it will. Thanks for all the hard work your doing Fab, keep it up. It did work as you said in the post.

Even doing what you recommend for Bangkok Dangerous makes a movie with multiple freedze problems at the end of the movie. Hope you get it supported soon; Thank You for all your constant work.

How did you get a Full Disc? I can at best do the Main Movie and that's a mess - using 5.2.2.5beta. You have to Abort a few times to get the rip going and then when it hags at the end, chose Ignore a couple times.

When doing a full disc backup compression can not be applied
same goes when doing main movie which is found in title 23 which will have the normal dvd structure(but chapter 25 needs to be removed)
total run time-->1hr 43min 23sec number of vob's 8 total

I am having the same problem as everyone else with Bangkok Dangerous. The movie has errors when trying to read. I changed the settings as suggested but still no luck. Must be a code error in the beta version.

Hey guys... new poster here, and still basically a novice learning, but I resorted to my old RIPIT4ME program and it finally made it through the Bangkok issue... Disaster got to 94 % and was only 22k into a 203k VOB after an hour so I gave up... but RIPIT worked for Bangkok, then used Fab instead of Shrink to finish it and it worked for full disk... hope this helps someone!

I tried your suggestion about Bangkok Dangerous and The Disaster Movie and using MAIN MOVIE. BD always errors out/read problem and The Disaster Movie just copies 199mg. I was using the verion from the beta 5.2.2.5, and disabled PathPlayer. Any suggestions?

I'm having similar problems with 5.2.2.2 and now 5.2.2.5. DVDFab doesn't recognize blank media for any movie I copy. Also, the tray for my second drive, an older Plextor Premium, opens instead of my DVD drive when the movie is done being copied. My solution for the moment is to copy to HD, close out, and then burn with Nero 7.

I thought maybe the VSO update was broken, but the same things happen when I select ImgBurn.

Any thoughts?

Well here is an update..useing dvdfab 5.2.2.2...copied bangkok movie full screen side of disk..used main movie as was said about 5.2.2.5..used the number 1...the movie copied and burned pretty good as to this point...I jumped thru all the tracksand now watching to see how it did...just follow the steps that were mentioned in useing 5.2.2.5,,but use 5.2.2.2.. hope this helps someone.

have you found a fix for copying the Family that preys dvd with dvd fab?

This didnt work with the 5.2.2.5..could not locate my blank disk.
I did however use the info above on the 5.2.2.2 version...and it worked just great.....Did good for bangkok dangerous and the disaster movie...hope this helps with the problem..

DVDFab gold 5.2.2.5 Beta.
This beta version failed with Righteous Kill and Bangkok Dangerous today. I tried various alternative options. All seemed to go into a code loop forever trying to recognize the blank media. They were my usual Verbatim, Fujifilm and Memorex DVD+R DL disks. Not one worked so I deleted the beta version and used 5.1.1.5 and like magic it worked at first try even with the usually troublesome Memorex DL disks.
Righteous Kill on a Double Layer and Bangkok Dangerous on a single layer at 100% transfer.
Ps: Bangkok Dangerous is another Cage crap although he is not narrating so much. That guy must like the sound of his voice a lot.
If Hollywood was not so constipated and if there were a few decent movies available on DVD I would not have spent my hard earned money on Cage but what the hell it seemed like a better deal than watching Merrly Streep shaking her tush to a 30 year old tune or Pierce Brosnan desperately trying to sing and only succedding to stay totally out of tune every time he opened his mouth.
Pathetic state of affairs in show business.
Anyways, try 5.1.1.5.
It works.

I see I am not the only one with this problem, done a clean install still does not see blank medeia, does not matter what type of media or which DVD drive, or source DVD reverted back to earlier version

I am also having the same problem tried to write video data from the hdd and the detecting of dvd blank media does not work

used dvd fab 5.2.2.2, selected main movie only (title1), fixVTS, then shrink...burnt with IMGburn...played perfectly. I am not one for all the extra crap...except for out takes...(have u seen pineapple express...LOL), since BD was a STRANGE movie, the main movie on this one was fine with us.
