OK so I am kinda new at using DVDFab- is the best thing to do is to verify the copies after the burn process is finished. I seem to run into issues every Tuesday when I make backup copies for my daughter to take upstairs to her collection. Does anyone else experience this? I do understand that the industry is always changing and thus the applications that allow us to backup our libraries has to change as well, I am just curious if I am the only one experiencing this. It seems that 5.1.1.0 works pretty well still.

Perk it won't hurt to verify other than take longer. Tuesday's is usually new video day, so that may or may not mean new encryptions. I was a bit impatient this week myself but all for naught. In about 2 days if that Fab had updated their proggie to tackle TDK as did the other big gun. Remember also that Fab has many other options besides DVD that need to be taken care of as well. Keep the old versions handy it doesn't hurt, but always update because eventually all cylinders will be running. Fab is directly working w/us so don't worry be happy.

No not at all afraid. Just have copied over 1000 discs easily and if you'd like to use your imagination then figure how many have not only seen those copies but have copied even 1000's more. I never dismissed your free easy cd dvd burner. I just pointed a fact that can not be refuted. Where business is concerned you thrive to conduct more business and that entails keeping the consumer happy w/relevance to the quality and price of a product. Fab great proggie. great price. ImgBurn great proggie great price. Everyone's happy. Go to www.ImgBurn.com and ask the author why his proggie is one of the best. He's reasonable as is any other developer that stands nothing to lose by pointing out the assests as well as the liabilities and then leaving the choice to you. Have you really tried all the functions of ImgBurn? On that note we're already off topic here and it's a disservice to those who come to this thread for a solution w/anything pertaining to Fab. Although competitive banter is welcomed as all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I'm just a member like yourself. Soon the Big Guns will weigh in for better or for worse. If free easy works then work it. It's ok to disagree w/out being disagreeable. When in Rome...

These are the bugs I discovered in 1hour using this version:

DVD to Mobile
------------------
* Framerate are always set default to 24fps even if it's a PAL DVD.
* Mono AC3 are not working when using audiocopy-modes.
* Mono AC3 are encoded as Stereo when recoding to MP3/AAC.
* Subtitles extraction (idx/sub) is really wierd. Generated two subs (CD1/CD2) even if I converted a movie straight from DVD.. I had forced the destination size to 700Mb(no split!) and converted to h264/avi/AAC.
Never had any problems with this before..
* MKV muxing is wierd (VLC plays them badly), but I guess this bug has been in DVDFab for quite awhile.

DVDFab 5.2.0.0 ist the first unusable version for me. it runs only first time, after reboot i get a 21 mb crash report.
It's impossible to use older versions of DVDFab 5.x. They all crashes after 5.2.0.0.

The mobile option now produced unusable avi files. A 4 min part is shown as a 83 min avi, sound ok, but video
runs in fast forward mode only . Impossible to use option "render subtitles direct as video".

Can't use the option "Framerate same as source" since a longer time.
This gives stop and go movies on my system. 25 fps works fine for PAL.

I have to use my XP image from last week with DVDFab 5.1.2.2 now all works correct. What's happend ?

4. extract subtitle problem, I will check it.

5. I know now the mkv mux have problem, I will try to fixed them asap, but which need some time.

Because the most mobile code has been rewrited which can help us add more new features, so there are maybe have some problem, sorry for the bugs.

I upgraded to the "2" version and now am unable to produce readable backups on either 5 or 9. All my players and the PC are not able to read a disc once its finalized!

another problem when converting to ps3 mp4/h.264. the converted file will not save the title name. it makes the title name the same name as the file name.

this is the first time this problem has come up in all versions.

Hi AF, long time no see!
See the release notes, v5.2.0.0 had a major re-write of the dvd to mobile code. Ting has a post about some of the problems two or three posts up/down from this one. I have not had any crashing, but some minor fps problems with DVD to Mobile. Don't be a stranger.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Those recommendations did the trick. I just made to two copies and they both play on my older DVD player.

Anyone having "issues" with "Step Brothers"??? It's a Sony product, but that's never stopped me before. In Main Movie mode, it creates without a hitch...until I try playing it. This is the first time I've encountered this problem. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance!

In this thread I saw a message about the DVDFab Profile editor. Can I get a link to the file? I looked in the website and couldn't find a link to download. Or..does it come with the program updated? Thanx a bunch.
