Thanks maineman, I appreciate your response and your help. I do like to keep track of all of the versions in case one has a flaw and I need to roll back to a previous version. But so far I have never had to do that at all yet.

Quite a few of us have archived versions back to the days of Fab 2.xxx.
Someone is almost always around if you need an old version.

I've got alot of them back to the 2xxx versions. But most of them up until 4.1.2.0 were the free versions. I have both 4.1.2.0 free and 4.1.2.0 platinum and then all of the 5xxx are all Platinum. I missed one for sure that I know of in the 5xxx series. I read about it at work in the morning and then hurried home, when I got home the version had changed again that same day because of a bug fix being corrected. But I think that I have most of them.

fengtao..good job on 5115..but no log file!..going back to5110 till abetter version comes out. dvdfab5110 seems to work better with imgburn engine ?? cheers,frank.

dvdfab is saving an imgburn log but not the vso log.

Is anyone having problem with the latest dvd fab it doesn't seem to detect Nero 9 burning ROM,the message that comes up on my computer is failed to initialize the burning engine.I know it is installed correctly.

5110 has added support, have you tried 5110?

Yep still doesn't work just says failed to initialize the burning engine.

Generic H.264 video and audio profile:

Subtitles arent being ripped correctly. They when i try to mux them with a video file in mkvMerge it tells me that there is no sub stream in the subtitle file. Have tried with different videos, and I'm seeing it repeatedly.

Also, audio is out of synch in the converted files.

How about a set number of copies like in Nero..... I hate having to click on "Burn again" everytime. so, rather then saying: Process completed sucessfully" I get: " 1/3 Please insert writable media"

Another feature that would make DVDFab great, would be, Auto-DVD copy...this idea btw, comes from Primera DUP-07 7 Disc CD & DVD Duplicator 56800. How does it work? Well, 1st load 7 blank dvd discs then load the original on the top then insert it and, forget it...then, THATS IT you walk away...its that simple....
then, everytime a DVD has been copied each of the DVD trays ejects it.

Now, here is why this feature should be throwed in: If your only interested
in copying the whole DVD (everything, movie, subs, extras etc) then, this feature is a must!!!
If you want a simple easy way (lazy) to backup movies this is the is the feature people are gonna LOVE Since this has not been implemented...
people have NO idea if this is gonna be usefull.
casein point: if all you have to do is insert a blank dvd and, a original
DVD on the other drive (nothing to feagure out) ..it doesnt get any easier then that!
AUTO-DVD Copy, Here's what I would like to see: launch DVDfab,
when you insert the disc, you will see: "20 second count down...Auto DVD copy is ON, This DVD will be copied automatically." click cancel
to change settings...to disable this, just uncheck this option on DVDfab interface.

Just wanted to point out that the FBI removal is just not working.
You guys should develop FBI removal screen editor....which would show a little preview window and, allow you to manually remove the FBI segment by hand. e.g.: lets say the the FBI warning starts at 0:02:00 and, ends in 0:02:20 what you do is click on Manual FBI editor click on Start then, to confirm click on end. after you click end, you will see a pop-up window thats saids: "Do you wish to remove this video section 0:02:00 to 0:02:20 removed of the video?" say yes...and, the copy will have the warning or any part of the DVD segment removed.

I'm sorry but that feels to me like illegally making copies, not making an archive backup for personal use.

Well making 7 copies of the same Movie can hardly be called a back-up unless its a home movie, and in that case you don't need DVDFAB, just copy it raw as there's no protection anyway.

Only makes sense if you're going to give/sell the copies to others. Again, smells fishy

To be clear I'm not judging anyone. One thing I don't want is to lose the ability to have software like DVDFab. If folks are setting up copy factories using DVDFab and multiple copying machines, just how long do you think it will be that those of us who are using DVDFab for personal use and archiving will no longer have the ability to do so.

If someone wants to take the risk to make illegal copies that is their business and they need to keep it to themselves. However when they make choices and make those choices public that then has the potential to impact and limit my choices. That's when it very much does become my business as I am now impacted by their choices.

If a person is using DVDFab for illegal ends please stop.

If you look at his previous posts, there are a few that...well, shall we say, are a bit tenuous as far as an intended goal.

Similarly, when burning again...err... just click Burn Again.
Hardly labor intensive.

There's only one reason to request this that I can think of...and that is... you're running a duplicator.
Still, I guess everyone is entitled to his/her opinion as long as forum rules are adhered to...
