New: Updated language files.
Fix: A crash problem when using "Internal" preview.

5.0.8.0 Beta (August 5, 2008)
New: Added "Output Type" in 'Conversion Settings" window. User can choose between "Video + Audio" and "Audio Only". (DVDFab Mobile Option)
New: Extract DVD audio to MP3/MP4/WMA/WAV/AC3/DTS with "Audio Only" output type. (DVDFab Mobile Option)
New: Added audio only profiles for devices Generic, iPod and Zune. (DVDFab Mobile Option)

Man alive, you guys really know how to keep busy. (I haven't even had a chance to take 5.0.8.0 out for a test-drive yet!)

I'm hoping that with this update I'll be able to get the "Full Screen Preview" to work on my system. (Previously it did not.)

As always, thanks for the updates, you guys rock!

This is absolute fantastic! Many thanks to you for quick work.

Only complaint some have left is a "nag" button screen.

Would you possibly remove the "nag" so people not complain about it?

That would be very good if it were to happen.

Again, many thanks to you for hard work and great change.

As far as the nag screen, this has been discussed previously.
I think this whole thing is summed up quite nicely by the following two posts:

I don't think that you should complain too much about such a fine, free utility.

This update as do all the updates since version 5 release simply does not produce adequate quality video for psp. Problems with jerky video playback have been reported to the technical group repeatedly since I bought version 5 (the free trial of version 4 worked beautifully and persuaded me to buy this program). What a mistake that was.

Thank you for your reply.

I do not mind "nag" button screen because it does not make you wait while it countdown before you can click past it.

But it is a complaint I hear of from reading BETANEWS site. It is there that argument over "phone home" spyware idea was told.

So now with 82 beta, there is one less thing to argue against DVDFab HD Decrypter.

I do not see yet the 82 beta version on BETANEWS. Is yet to be submitted to them?

I hope all will be well after 82 beta is posted there.

Thank you

I think maybe you should rename the Free DVDFAB such as removing the HD & BR support as we are getting a lot of post on this not being able to do the HD & BR disc because a lot of people aren't using the search before posting, And if you ever decide to support them then you could change it back, Just my two cents worth

Fengtao,

I wanted to thank you personally for adding the option to disable the error communications. This was my biggest gripe with this program for the longest time. Automated communications should never be forced.

Thank you

You mind if I ask how you to do this?

I have been told of blocking with the firewall zone alarm. Is that what you mean?

Thank you

You are not talking about a crash report then.

Thank you for your reply

I thought each time DVDFab fail or crash, before it would always send automatic error report. To stop it, you load zone alarm firewall, yes?

But 5082 now allows to turn off that automatic sending.

So I wonder how is possible people did not have automatic report before the 5082.

That is all.

Is there a way to force test the error report besides ejecting disk in the middle of ripping? Something to type on the command line as option, for example? Maybe used for internal testing but can let user know the code to do the test at home?

Like when god mode in video game?

Thank you

Bingo....It is the only firewall I will use
course there are a few entries or components that DVDFab uses so you have to change the setting for them all.
4 all together if my memory serve me right

You mean that when you put DVD in drive with 5082 running, you get a crash when it tries to automatic read the disk?

Or is there a manual try that causes crash?

Thank you
