What's with the message that a newer version of Windows is required for DVDFab Platinum? Isn't MS Windows 98SE supported anymore with 4.1.1.0 Beta?

It doesn't hurt to ask. Why feel the need to make an example of me? Others have posted questions about the software and if other fixes have been implemented.

Sorry Burner you took alan's comment the wrong way, alan is not by any means making an example out of you or anybody else.
He was just leting you know that any changes or fixes whould be listed in the change log and that is all.

And Burner Welcome to the DVDFab forum on CD Freaks,...always go to have another member

I've done a few movies using 4102 with no errors using the ipod.h264-5.5G profile. What profile are you trying to use.

Ipod video must meet these specs to be accepted by iTunes and the iPod.

Video resolution: 640 x 480 or cropped below 640 x 480
Video bitrate mpeg4: 2500 or less
Video bitrate H264: 1536 or less
Audio bitrate: 160 or lower

SJ is correct, I did not mean to make you feel that way at all, did you not see the winky in the post. If that were implemented, it would have been in bold in the changelog, thats all I meant. Welcome to the forum Burner.

Hello Fengtao:

I recently purchased DVDFAB Plat and prior to that took advantage of your generous trial offer. Soon after subscribing to the trial offer, I sent a message to your support team regarding a problem and was advised to download the beta version just prior to this latest one. It really did not solve the problem I encountered. I really don't want to take up your time with the problem, but I noticed that sometime later, a non-beta release version was issued.

My question is: what is the approximated time period from the beta release to a non-beta version update?

Thank you.

I'm not Fengtao or on his crew but I can tell you that ther is no set time period on the release of a full version release and a Beta release

Is there an undocumented feature with 4.1.1.0 with Pathplayer that if it doesn't detect items before the menu it doesn't enable the "Jump to first menu" and "Remove annoying..." in Customize mode??? That's great if it does. I was just used to always seeing those two options with Pathplayer enabled and was suprised not to see them yesterday. Out of five movies I backed up yesterday, only two had the options and they were ones that had stuff playing before the main menu.

On another note, this version totally fixed my problems with discs not playing on the PS3 and other stand-alone boxes while they played fine on the computer. It must have been pathplayer removing playable content or something.

Hi SJ:

Thanks for the info. I asked because its been my experience that
"beta" versions are test versions and when de-bugged, a standard version is released. I guess that's not the case with this software.

The problem I'm still having even with the newer beta releases is that DVDFab will let you choose higher res specs, so you need to make sure you do the math and wind up with 308,000 or less total pixels. Another big problem: when encoding with 2-pass, the file size and bitrate climbs way higher than what you select. Can these issues be resolved soon?

Hello
I'm new to cd freaks. I recently purchased DVDFab Platinum 4.0.6.2. I used to copy some DVD's that I brought for my nephews. The coping worked perfectly but I noticed that after I installed DVDFab 4, when ever I try to run Real Player or Windows Media Player, a "Welcome to DVD Region+CSS free" screen appears. After I close this screen it appears a second time and then I can proceed to use the other players. The screen indicates that I have # of days on my trial even after I purchased and entered a key for the software. Why is this happening? I also notice that I seem to be picking up several viruses after I tried to uninstall and reinstall the dvdfab-4-1-1-0-beta on recommendation of a DVDidle support team member. Anyone have any ideas???

PS -This is the first time I ever posted a message.

Hi Murphy2668,

Where did you bought DVDFab?

You should download latest stable version from http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm and download latest beta from forum.

There is no virus in our products, we checked them all with Kaspersky 7.

Best Regards,
Fengtao

I was wondering if dvdfab is going to be able to support Blu ray in the future is it possible?
