DVDFab / DVD Region+CSS Free Discuss, DVDFab 4.0.8.0 Beta is out at Movie copy software forum; About the only thing that DVD-Shrink does that DVDFab does not do (that I know of anyhow) is that you can selectively set the compression ration for things like titles and extras which allows the main movie to be less compressed for better play back resolution.

I'm having problems converting DVDs to my Zune with this new version.

The Zune option no longer has the output option 640X480, even though that option is present within the Zune profile XML file within the "list" param. When I replace the value of "out_size" to be "640X480", the option returns but then the value ("320X240") I had replaced disappears. It almost seems like that any resolution that is listed within the "list" values but is not widescreen is then NOT displayed as a possible option.

Also when I finally convert to the Zune format and then watch it on my Zune, everything is stretched horizontally - there are no black bars above and below the movie.

Another problem I've found for the Zune format is that if I select an output volume greater than 100 (i.e. 199) then the converted video's volume goes in and out.

Has anyone experienced this or know what to do in this case? Is this a bug or is this something I may be able to correct?

I used this beta to convert the TV series "Weeds" for my PSP.

With the new cropping, the normal PSP conversions seem to be modified.

I used PSP V3.30+ with Weeds which is 4:3 aspect ratio. DVDFab did not offer 320x240 any more. The PSP would not recognize the format.

I am not home at the moment and don't have the EXACT screen size that was sent to the PSP but it was the one that was 1.333:1.

If no one else had this problem when I get back I will post the exact screen size.
