yeah Rick i noticed that also but my DL's burned fine. Using Platinum here.

I can't seem to copy "300". it says it has a copy protection that can only be removed by enabling path player and when i enabled it it caused an read error and asked me if i wanted to retry or ignore,etc. There's nothing wrong with the disc scratch wise or anything. Any suggestions?

King of Kong (Donkey Kong Documentary) simply won't rip. Tried using full disc, clone, etc... final rip is bad, goes to black screen and stops. Tried 3 different ways. Only method that works is Movie Only.

Put a tick for "Ignore all read errors automatically" in common settings-->READ

This won't help the situation. You may end up getting a ripped DVD with missing parts.

ok well what should i do if this won't help? i ticked the box and all it's doing is loadfing for the past 5 minutes. i guess the DVD is damaged. guess i'll just have to get another copy

The PM was about how to find out if the disc is a dud. You need CD/DVD Speed and AnyDVD for it to work properly. In the past when I have tried to make a post which includes the name AnyDVD it gets deleted by some 'unknown' person...

I try not to post about other rippers in this forum but in this case I had to. So I decided to help him in private where he could get the support. I hope you understand why .

p.s. I don't give the same answer all the time signals. My answer is based on what would suit the user best.

Now back to the thread.

quenc isnt a very good encoder though...i would rather use hcencoder and procoder

Tried copying 6 disk last night and all six disks failed, tried again and went thru sucessfully. Went back to the latest stable release (4.0.6.2) and all is well...

-With DVDFab 4.0.6.X I cant open and read "Rattatouille" (Pal reg.2) even with the latest betaversions.

-But with the "old" version DVDFab 3.X it works perfect? Someone knows why?

With this beta if I use Nero Burning Rom for the DVD burn it fails. Useing Nero 8280 (latest avail). No problem when using last beta version 4062 of DVD Fab Platinum.

Today I try again with "Rattatouille" and after nearly two minutes the source was open

Another problem I have are: When I load the clonecopy of "Rattatouille" in my Toshiba XE1 the "first" meny appears. Then when I go forward the message "Cant open the dvd" comes?

If I call upp the dvd-meny and take selection chapters and for example choice chapter four that starts fine, then I can go back to chapter one step by step with the reversebutton ....

Since upgrading to 4.0.6.5 I have had trouble playing newly made backups on all players in my house. Navigation buttons do not work properly. For some titles when I hit menu, disc freezes, some it reverts to start of movie; for some it will play opening logo, then stick in black. Skip and fast forward do not function. This has occured with new releases (American Gangster, Lust Caution, Brave One). To see if it affected new titles only, I pulled some older titles off my shelf (Snatch, Let's Scare Jessica to Death), same problem.
It appears that disc copies, there's just no way to get it to play.

Here are logs from when I upgraded, apologies for the length. I am not well versed in computer-speak, I use DVD Fab Platinum for its ease of use, a "one-stop shopping" backup tool.

Any help would be appreciated.

After upgrading to 4.0.6.5 I seem to be having problems with PathPlayer. I am trying to backup “The Peacemaker.” As you can see the Navigation settings are grayed out, but PathPlayer is always enabled in my settings. Opening and closing DVDFab does not help.

Any suggestions?
