"now works with disney fast play dvd's like santa clause 3"? i have been using the free version for several months now and it has always worked with Disney Fast Play. unless you are referring to Platinum.

When I set burning engine to Imgburn I get a "Failure to initialize burn engine" message. Hve rebooted after install.

Now works with ImgBurn, thanks lately have not been felling any love for Nero, as I fell it has become way too blotted for my taste.

Went to upgrade to 4.0.6.2 but I might have done something the wrong way.

I went to site and clicked on download and I uploaded into a new folder (which I created) however, it appears that I have uploaded a trial version and not an upgrade.

I was trying to save my original version so that I could revert back to it in case I had trouble with upgraded version.

Can someone please help me. I did not install 4.0.6.2, the setup is still on my desktop. Should I delete it and start again, if yes, how can I save my original 3.0 version and how do I do this. Would appreciate step by step help..nervous about losing original.

nowe if it workt it wold be greate , i installd it and on installation it crashes,

i removed it , rebooted the pc and installt it again with the same Result

the 4.0.6.2 beta workt greate but not this version.

i have win vista 32 bit, with all uppdates,

so any helt , on howe to fix this , plz Help

Hi bamahusker, DVDFab can copy Disney FastPlay DVDs in previous versions, but if you select "Jump to first menu when disc inserted", it will have problem, and the latest version fixes that.

Hi Baskets, you can always install trial version to upgrade, since the trial version is same with registered version, you only need input registration key to activate trial version into registered version.

4.0.6.2 is not a beta, it's an official release version.

When you say crash, do you mean DVDFab crash or installation crash? Could you please post a screen shot for that?

I to run it on Vista 32 bit system works GREAT try a "Clean unistall " using the steps for Vista see link below in my signature on how (Not the normal uninstall) also make sure you install from a new download not the one you already have on your system

I am also getting this message displaying when I start DVDFab when I have set ImgBurn as my default burn engine in options. Message does not appear when set to VSO burn engine.
Latest version of ImgBurn installed. Running on Vista Ultimate.
Would be nice to find a solution to this problem if possible.

If I understood correctly...the trial version I downloaded to a separate folder with name of version can stay where it is once I complete the setup process...and the original version I have can stay where it is without being written over?

To use the newer version...I would click on it as with I have with old version and it will activate automatically with the key already in computer.

I'm running Vista Ultimate and have ImgBurn selected and do not have this issue could be a settings issue within the system
course my systems config has been altered by me so I have less issues with Vista

be sure you have imgburn installed into the directory that dvdfab is looking at. when viewing the write settings, dvdfab displays the directory. in my case im installed here:

C:\Program Files\ImgBurn\\ImgBurn.exe

Hello my software is not updating like its supposed to i am currently running 4.0.5.5 and the tab under general is set to check for new version. But as i said its not updateing or downloading the new version. Is this a bug in 4.0.5.5 as it worked before to update just not now?

I tried full copy with PP engaged on One Tree Hill with 4.0.5.0 version and it would slow to a stop during copying on disc 5 at about 50%. Brand new discs/not used/not dirty/not scratched. Tried multiple times. No probs with any of the the sets' other discs. Upgraded to 4.0.6.2 and tried again, no luck. Tried multiple times, and with newest version it goes to 51.72% before stopping. I actually let it run for over 12 hours the last time before cancelling. Have not had any other problems with the program or any other discs. Anyone have any ideas so I can complete this full season set?

The same happens here under WinXP. ImgBurn is found correctly at D:\Programme\ImgBurn\ImgBurn.exe. After restart DVDFab I am getting this error messsage. With VSO there is no problem.

The program only checks for an update and lets you know if there is one You have to download and install it yourself

If you go to Imgburn/Tools/Settings/Write, there is a check box for "exclusive access". If you uncheck that, you will no longer get the error message. However, Lightning UK advised that you not do that, but simply hit Continue at the error message. He also advised that in the next version of Imgburn, this wrror message will not appear.
