You can always rip the move useing the free version or other ripper then convert it using one of the many free video converter programs around then load it to a to a cartridge for playing on the DS.

no the DS is not something i was looking into doing. I just noticed that on the program for sometime and never knrew it was meant for that. I will use it for the PSP though,if i ever get enough money. Anyway....
Don't worry bamahuster, when and if you get one we will be here to help you, if help is needed. Your support is appreciated and I value all members input here.

I for one was one of the frustrated ones.
I paid for a full version and I was having issues. I think (my opinion) that a lot of people feel that if you pay for something such as software that it should just work.
I now realize how big DVDFAB is, and that the process of building it is ongoing.

I started with Support, realized that they were busy, ended up here, then started reading. There is A LOT of info. To a frustrated user, the last thing they want to do is wait for someone to reply to a problem they are having.
I learned that the more I read, the more patience I had, not sure why.

You just made a complete post without telling anyone what your problem is. If you are frustrated I am sorry. You will have to wait until until someone can help with your problem. Most problems occur because new users do not know how to use the program properly, have you read the guide? If you have an actual problem post it.

Then I didn't read into the post what you did. If that is case and and his problems are resolved, then I am happy for him. If we can be of any help, please don't hesitate to ask.

You're right!
It was praise.

Naw Bob, still having issues, but I am learning more and more reading through some of the threads as it relates directly to some of the issues I am having.

I am determined to figure them out, all is good.

Thanks for the support!

Interesting bug backing up my copy of HBO's Rome (S1D2) R1. I was able to successfully rip using Full Disc mode to my hard drive.

Afterwards, when I read the copy off the hard drive with DVDFab it shows only 132 MB of content? I ran FixVTS against this folder and then reran DVDFab, same issue -- it basically does not see the content. I can view all of the content just fine using VLC Portable. So I know that DVDFab did a good rip the first time.

I then reran DVDFab with PathPlayer DISABLED and it sees everything just fine this time. Any ideas why PathPlayer wouldn't work on an already ripped disc?

Thx,
-IP

this is a well documented problem with 4.0.5.5.
4.0.60 does not seem to have that problem, at least on my system.

Are you using 4.0.6.0 ?

Many thanks for the continued working on DVDFab Platinum. Unfortunately, I have now too little time. Nevertheless, I would like to take this opportunity to point to a small error in the configuration noted:

In the burning settings of DVDFab 4.0.6.0 Beta "Do not eject disc after burning" no longer be saved. This option is totally ignored.

Please continue like that.

Thank you

Yeah, PathPlayer can exhibit some pretty strange behavior occasionally, thankfully, very rare in my own experience.
I know for a fact that there was nothing special about Rome S1...even good ol' reliable dvddecrypter went through S1 series without a problem.
As Benhad said, perhaps this glitch was specific to the last version...who knows?

Glad you got it to work.

hello, just wondering if my inability to rip 'green wing special' with the free version (dvdfabhddecryptor) 4.0.6.0 or 4.0.5.0 is a known issue? had a quick search but couldn't see anything.

thanx in advance.

Hello Good people of this forum
I'm new to this forum, but I'm using DVDFab for couple of yers now, and very happy with DVDFab and never had any issues with it.
However, after I've uppdated to 4.0.5.5 and then to 4.0.6.0 I have some strange issues. Working very well with iPod, ZUNE and PSP, but having problem with burning DVD's.
After completing burning process and trying to play on stand alone DVD player, unfortunately I can't. Philips new DVD player said "Unknown disc" other 1 year old can't recognize DVD video.
Disc can't be played with Windows Media player, Inter video etc.
Only Power DV playeracan play burned disc and DVDFab can recognize video on burned discks.
I'm using different type/brand blank discs, all of then behaving in a same fashion. Last version I've use was 4.0.5.0 without any problem
and discks from the same bundle.
Also yesterday I try to play burned disc, on TV screen shows me computer like directory with two folders AUDIO and VIDEO.
Also, I've burned disc with my video editing soft without any problem.
Maybe setting wrong? Or ...
I don't know what is the problem?
If somebody have any idea what I'm doing wrong or have any solution please help me.
Thank you in advance.

If you are using a download accellerator turn it off and use this link for Fab Platnium.

Just installed this build last night & it worked perfectly on Win 98 SE box. It also allowed me to shave enough of the FBI crap off to enable a disc that was going to be 2% compressed in customize mode in Fab 3.x to copy with no compression & full menus.

Good job!

Alan,

I am not using a download accelerator that I am aware of. It downloads 4.0.5.5 with no problem. Just the New Beta version is it doing this. I even downloaded it to my computer and tried to open it there and it did the same thing. I will try to completly uninstall and start over.

I'll let you know the outcome.

Thanks a bunch.....

Alan,

The uninstall / re-install worked without a glitch. I do not know what the problem was but I am up and running again.

Thanks for the help.
