Thanks to the great Fab team.
Does this version solve the FAB HD compatabilty problem with Dvd Shrink associated with "3:10 to Yuma" movie.
I understand from someone who analysed the Fixvts log for this movie that it is merely a pointer problem that shoud be readily fixed. Thanks again.

Bob,
I read that. I am hoping that in solving Saw problem, it may also solve "3:10 to Yuma" problem.

Hi jamoskeag3,

Supporting new protection has higher priority.

I already know why shrink doesn't like DVDFab output, but it need some time to rewrite something, so please wait, and thanks for your understanding.

Best Regards,
Fengtao

That's great news Fengtao.

I don't use Shrink myself but I know a great many of your users do and they'll be more than glad to hear that you've got it figured it out already.

Do you mean DVDFab output in general, or only with a specific movie?

Thanks, Fangtao, for the great update. And thanks to all the cd freaks and moderators for all the great support. There is nothing quite like this product on the market. This is the absolute best.
Thanks again,

With regards to the output size of 3:10 to Yuma and DVDShrink's inability to recognize that it's too big and needs compression, you can get around this in two ways:

• Click on the Analysis button, or
• Use DVD Rebuilder to re-encode the movie from scratch for best quality

Whenever I need more than 10% compression, especially with action flicks, I reach for DVD Rebuilder. It's free. Sorry, but it is.

I was pleasantly surprised when I launched DVD Fab Platinum this morning and it offered to update from my beta version to the new 4.0.5.0. That was nice, thank you!

I did have a problem with WAR. I don't know if I'm not giving my Sony DRX-820U enough time to spin up with the blank discs or not. At first, Fab failed to see the blank disc. Maybe the drive wasn't ready? I waited a few seconds, then clicked OK or whatever, and got a "Failed to Burn" error. I put another blank disc in, and the drive was spinning loudly before I tried to burn, but I got the same "Failed to Burn" error.

I'm wondering if there is some slight incompatibility between the software and USB drives, or if I'm causing a problem by not waiting long enough after inserting the blank media?

After apparently ruining two discs, I gave up and opened the files from the DVD Fab\Temp directory with DVD Shrink (my apologies for using free software) and successfully backed up my copy of the movie.

If you can tell me what I'm doing wrong, that would rock.

By the by, the retail version of WAR won't even play in my home DVD player. Near the end of the movie, it locks up, skips, and just starts over from the beginning. The disc itself is perfect--not a scratch or speck of dirt on it. Great copy protection. Perhaps in the future, you can just make my DVD player explode and take out the whole family.

Thanks for all your great work.
FYI, I did try to backup my retail 3:10 to Yuma and it still didn't work.
Looking forward to more Beta Bliss

Yeah, I used this a little bit maybe a year or so ago. It's evolved considerably, and it's fantastic to see how much the author supports it.

There is a lot of other DVD software available that has nowhere near the support this does. You'd be lucky to get an update every month or so with other software. With DVDFab we are seeing two or three updates a week! That just goes to show what great care goes into the software. I certainly appreciate all the hard work that goes into it.
