Great job as always. It appears the audio problem when converting from DVD to Zune has been corrected. Worked flawlessly on Resident Evil: Extinction. Region 1

Any one else using the new 4040beta seeing a message
"VSO Evaluation Driver Not for Public Distribution" pop up
in a box after the source disk in read and right before the
write process starts? If I click on OK, the write will start
and finish fine. I never saw this before in any previous
beta versions.

Nope, never heard of this message.
I'd check and see if you have multiple installs of the patin-couffin driver.
You may also consider simply reinstalling 4.0.4.0.

On the other hand, it sounds like it's just a minor annoyance, so I don't know how hard I'd try to fix it.
Dunno about you, but sometimes my OCD kicks in and I insist that something that already works, be perfect.
So I try to fix it and then it's broke...

For right now, I will leave it as is; it works fine except you can't just
start a copy and walk away; have to click OK in the box before the
writing phase will start. Strange . I just did a fresh install
of Win and the new Fab.

Just backed up 2 movie's and had no issue's withthis update. Everything was flawless. Thank you so much Fengtao and you too Ting for your outstanding efforts to make this the best software of it's kind on the market !! ~ Mike

After unsuccesfully trying v4.0.1.2, I downloaded 4.0.4.0 for the following. I didn't try it with pathfinder disabled, but I just finished burning a "Shoot 'Em Up" backup with 'Enable Pathplayer when necessary' checked, and jump to main title. Using PowerDVD v6 it actually starts playing the movie from the beginning instead of jumping to the main title. Other than that, no problems.

"Jump to main title" should cause starting from main movie. What's your problem?

there was huge improvement over version 3, with version rip and burn complete time was 30 mins...4.0.4.0 beta between 21 mins (in same pc system and movie shrink from 7.3gb to 4.29gb)..fastest rip and burn software ever seen.

well i see that no ones helping out with my problem i mention earlier on converting a psp file i send emails write on this forum but no love here i wonder why

I'll try to help ppl say that Always Enalble won't work on their new install...
When you try to upgrade to the new version, you haven't got to uninstall only...
As I see from my experience...you have to delete the DVDFab folder into C:\$Program$ (but that's not a priority)...also delete the files inside the Preftech folder under the Windows folder and also you have tu run a reg optimizing programs.. Than restart WIN and now you can install your new build of DVDFab.
I know it's a little bit long but if you do the things in this way you are sure to run a fresh install...so you can verify immediately the newest outstanding ideas of FENGTAO AND TING
You can check if you are doing all well @ the finish of the installation program... If it say to reboot your computer than you are in the right way.

having problem with "surf's up" us reg1.
did full dvd rip to hd.
use shrink to 4.7 gig +R.
when compressing, shrink shows "3 fk-ing angles" for main movie.
is there an option in 4.04.0 for deleting angles "which take up space."
example; if angles #2 & #3 gone from rip- full rip will fit on one 4.7 disc.
when viewing original dvd no angles present!
is this a fake angle .vob???? HELP

Not sure is what you want...But try to find what angle is played...use PowerDVD for example...
Than when you know what is the default angle played go to DVDFab and select it in the custom menu.

When any ISO is mounted, DVDFab still reports a "Failed to get DVD information" error on startup.

The following discs still have their audio tracks out of sync when converting an ISO (which plays fine) to 320x176 384kbps 128 bit mp3 no subs (clix2 compatible):

Zathura (R1)
Ratatouille (R1)
Sailor Moon V (R1)

Will you be updating Fab HD Decrypter so that output from "3:10 to Yuma"files can be used with Dvd Shrink? Thanks.

Figure the angle(s) you want to delete. Load your rip into PgcEdit. Double click on the movie - this is easy to see by its length. Click DelAngles. And select the ones you no longer want. OK and save. Clean up with VobBlanker or from PgcEdit, Tools - FixVTS (current domain). Presto! Your unwanted angles are gone and lotsa space saved.

Was about to put info up on this movie and saw your question. Had an error with the current version - so I downloaded this new beta. It worked to backup my dvd.

However, when I went to shrink it the audio showed up as only 7MB for 5.1 and 3MB for 2ch. Also, it would only compress about 200MB(like not even 2%) and was still over 5.2gigs. I noticed a note saying the beta has Pathplayer by default now, so I guess this has something to do with it. Maybe it embedded audio into the video files or something, I have no clue.

The files played fine on emulated drive, audio and video were fine and in sync. I thought, "What about a deep analysis?" Sure enough it has the option directly under 'File'. Ran it and everything is cool now. It compresses as normal.

When i tried to run deep analysyis, it said it did not need it.
Im so far getting better luck running Fab files thru Fixvts. Let you know how it turns out

Just failed to SPLIT Superbad. Still will not play main movie on standalone Denon. Anyone else tried SPLIT on 4.04.0 Beta?

Just to get back, here's what worked sucessfully for me for 3:10 toYuma:

- Ripped using free DVDFabHD Decrypter, in movie only mode,
- Processed and cleaned Fab ripped files thru Fixvts,
- Compressed the Fixvts cleaned files with Shrink. (Think I also used Deep Analysis, not sure its necessary.)
- Burned files with Nero.

Hopefully next version of DVDFabHD Decrypter (a great app) will produce more DVD compliant files, negating the need to use Fixvts.
