DVDFab / DVD Region+CSS Free Discuss, DVDFab 4.0.3.6 Beta at Movie copy software forum; BTW, I figured out why I wasn't seeing the new options "JUMP TO FIRST MENU WHEN DISC INSERTED" & "REMOVE ANNOYING PGC'S" in CUSTOMIZE MODE - PathPlayer must be "always enabled" for these options to be visible, even though it doesn't say so, as it does in FULL DISC mode.

(In FULL DISC mode, the new options are greyed out & it says "PATHPLAYER MUST BE ENABLED.")

Perhaps in a future release these options could appear greyed out in CUSTOMIZE MODE also, so that folks will see all the new options they have if they enable PathPlayer?

Also, FULL DISC, CUSTOMIZE, & SPLIT modes don't all have the same options (JUMP TO FIRST MENU, etc.) - I was hoping that maybe in future releases this might change. For example, I often put all the bonus features (additional scenes, etc.) on my second disc when I use SPLIT MODE - it would be nice to have the option to JUMP TO MAIN MENU in SPLIT MODE.

Thanks so much!

DVDFab 4.0.3.2 and later has a fanny behavior. First of all, I think it
Is a fantastic program. But now the problem is, when I write a bin file from
My hard disk and after go to another bin file to write, the first file seems to
Stay opened.(Anyway the file is not closed because I can't delete the file)
When I shutdown DVDFab then I can delete the file, it doesn’t matter if I have started DVDFab again or not. In My last version (I don't know exact
Witch but very resent) this behavior didn’t exist. Are there any settings I have to change?

ok. i will most likely stick with the free version anyway because i'm not even sure what some of these functions do. like on xbox 360. does that mean it downloads the files on your hard drive to your 360 and saves it to view whenever you want and stuff? same with PSP,PS3,etc? About all i'd probably use it for is the burning engine or maybe the combine DVD Seasons to fewer discs and stuff. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your constructive suggestion. That is what a forum is all about. First, I apologize I didn't realize I was working with DVDFab HD Decrypter 4.0.3.6 Beta (bound to be confusion with the same release numbers). I eventually read a post here on the forums about how to do a clean uninstall of DVDFab and it seems the prefetch files need to be deleted also. I don't know if that is what fixed the situation (because I also deleted all temp files in user data) but I got HD Decrypter installed and working again. I might think that a bug in HD Decrypter 4.0.3.6 Beta caused the original, and rather serious, situation. Fengtao, are you listening?

Thanks

Yes, thank you. I had done that also (the delete uictl_customize.xml part). I believe it was that very uninstall guide that got me going in the right direction. I certainly won't try to customize the beta any more. Might be a bug in that area.

Again, thank you for your knowledgeable suggestion. That is the kind of help I was hoping for!
