On average how long before a Beta Build becomes a
Final Release ? ? I know most of your betas are fairly
stable, but I like to wait till it's final to be certain.

Great work, Fengtao and Ting!

Really do appreciate how you, and the others in your team keep DVDFab updated in this way, without turning your software into bloatware in the process.

My daughters also send their regards and thanks

To be a little more forthcoming than usual, I've just newly done my yearly clean instal of Windows XP, which has Media Player 9 as a component. Did a backup of The Departed with this new update, and had no problems at all. Maybe not the most testing of trials, but it'll possibly let the curious know that DVDFab 4.0.2.5 works really well with only WMP 9.

Have yourselves a nice Christmas, and a Happy New Year when they finally arrive.

See you later then, and thanks again. Jim

Failure to burn The Host. Tried both 4.2.0 and 4.2.5 and both failed. First one gave a burn failure error. This latest one has been writing at the speed of .03MB/s which means forget it.. It is not working! The only way I have got a dvd to burn from an image file to DVD is to first write to a folder than burn the folder to the DVD.

Well from standard burns.. DVD copy it works fine. The IDE device shows Ultra DMA 4 in the Device Manager also. It seems to be some type of issue with burning from an img file. I have discovered if I burn to a DVD folder first than to DVD it burns ok. First time it seemed to burn fine but than just as it finished it gave that error log below.. Second time I tried it was burning at .03MB/s so I finally ended it. So third attempt I discovered the new beta here tried it and got the same result.. ending up in 3 coasters.. So the fourth I attempted a burn to DVD folder and than burning the DVD folder to DVD which I am now attempting on a DVD+RW for test purposes and it seems to be burning fine. So the issue seems to be burning direct from an img file to DVD.

FENGTAO,
Like I said before I always have confidence in your team to solve
the problem 4.0.2.5 did the trick on rush hour 3 . I can now back up
my copy using dvdfab gold full disc with no problem. Now my only
question is will it work on underdog full disc with out disabiling the
path player and jingle all the way family fun edition which is really
the directors cut.
I would appreciate the information ZAP.

Yes, I know about the release history.
Another quick question:

What is DVD Fab HD Decrypter for ?
Is it an add in to DVD Fab for like Blue Ray or the
other HD format ? ?

Thanks

Fengtao, It seems I have discovered an issue with the DVDFab Platinum. If you are trying to burn an image that is not ripped (protection removed) than it fails to burn properly because the software does not seem to be checking image files to see if protected or not. DVDFab should check to see if protected if so than rip it first than burn it so the user does not end up with coasters and not realize why at the time.

When I originally backed up the dvd it was imaged without being ripped first so the protection was still included with the imaged file. Hence I ended up with a few failed burns until I realized that the protection was still in the image file.. (Originally imaged before I had Dvdfab and was using DVD Region+CSS Free so protection was still in the original image file)
