I have a 755UF and a 760A that i made into a USB. I will see if these fail. With a fake plextor 810UF (LG) it worked fine. Here is the DL copy results for the movie BUG. Going to try the movie NEXT and KNOCKED UP with real plextors except there running thru USB.

Here is what AnyDVD had to say about BUG and here is how flawless DVDFab 3.2.0.0 handled it.

Try disabling AnyDVD. Just a thought, the Plextor 810UF External should not be a problem here, I wonder if this is a real Plextor, I was worng at first I thought your log said Sony 810UF, It could be the firmware.

I did'nt have AnyDVD running when i was using DVDFab. I just used AnyDVD to show what king of protection was on DVD before and after the burn. I think DVDFab has had a problem in there Clone section of the software. I just did the movie over but this time i used 1click DVD Pro and AnyDVD 6.1.7.4 and cloned the movie BUG and now it plays in any stand alone player. Here is what it looks like in AnyDVD the copy from 1Click DVD Pro. Look at the difference between 1Click & DVDFab. Thing is 1Clicks version plays in any player. A Oppo 981-HD im sure you know what it is will play anything. The Oppo 981 uses samsung lasers. I test with a Hi-End Toshiba RD-XS55ku. If it plays in that it tells me it will play in 99.% of stand alone players. Now here is what AnyDVD reported from the 1Click clone copy which works and look at the difference reported by DVDFab that don't work. Im also not sure but maybe DVDFab's Full copy wud work but i use clone only.

I do notice Alan that you use Full Copy mode. I only use clone mode. I have had a feeling that clone mode in DVDFab has some kind of glitch. I bet if i used Full Copy it would work. But read other message. 1Click and AnyDVD 6.1.7.4 done it first shot. I think this Clone mode in DVDFab needs some work. I also maybe wrong. However AnyDVD was never running when DVDFab was. It can't. DVDFab will have a popup that you have AnyDVD running. The Plextor 810UF is a LG drive. It's built well just that you have to booktype it everytime. No biggie.

I am with the new mobile framework having problems that DVDFab undesizes the movies.

I am using the H264+AAC generic profile and if I set a size to roughly 1gbyte or set the bitrate that corresponds to that it allways comes out way to small.

Anybody else having this problem or is it my PC?

Yup, there's a bug with clone mode...sorry, I know that was horrible, but I couldn't resist...
Did a bkup (R1) to an SL...customize,main movie, no problem.
Out of curiosity, ripped to hdd, clone mode. When viewed from the hdd, I was unable to play the movie. I seemed to be able to navigate from the menu ok and was able to play special features and scenes via scene selection, but could not "play movie".

@gash,
Re: clone mode, over time I have noticed more problems with clone mode relative to the other modes. Overall though, clone has worked well for me with most versions. This dates back to Fab 2.xxx

You are correct, sorry, I never tried the Clone Mode with this movie, Fengtao will fix it soon, I am sure.

Fentago,
I could not back up Blade House of Chthon in Full Disc mode with 3.195 Beta or 3.200. It would not analyze or anything. When I switched to Clone mode, it analyzed and stated that it was a data disc that could be copied with a DL DVD. It will not read the disc in Full mode. I hope this is a fix for this issue in Full disc mode.

Let me guess...a Plextor drive.

Just to follow up re: clone mode with this movie,
I just ripped it again on another rig, but with v.3.1.8.0.
Plays just fine from the hdd, no glitches at all.

Of note, when ripped with 3.2.0.0,
Enable PathPlayer when necessary was ticked on.
I don't think this affected the playback, but I would have to disable pathplayer and rip it again to know for sure.

I'm having the same problem with the Xvid+MP3 profile, and have done in the 2 previous beta versions. I haven't tried setting a bitrate... might try that and see if that works.

I wonder why we couldn't just leave Pathplayer enabled at all times.

I thought exactly the same thing...
I've tried 3 movies so far and I had PathPlayer enabled all the time, enabled when necessary (which I believe is the default setting) and off. I didn't see any difference on the one flick that I did with it both on and off except for the analyzing time.
I'll have to fool with it some more. It's so new I don't have a feel for how it operates yet.

Definately having the same issue here as i have just finished encoding using the bitrate, rather than defined size and have had the same result.

A 700MB file with bitrate approx 1500kbps ends up an 172MB file. This is using the Xvid+Mp3 profile.

Everything's fine for me. Using 3.2.0.0 I was able to match the results I did by hand on Blade HoC, so, that's good. This Plextor issue seems to bite for some. Not having any plextor drives I'm not affected by it but I can see where it would be annoying to those that do. I'm sure FengTao will get it worked out soon enough. He seems to be right on top of things.

Fentago, Hello Sir and thank you for the new upgrade fast. On your DVDFab 3.2.0.0 i have done some testing and would like you too be aware of what i have found. I am only talking about your "CLONE" mode in this version of software. Today i used clone mode and it did clone the movie BUG however i found this out doing testing. The clone went 100% with no failures but would not play in most stand alone DVD players and never seen this problem that much with your software. But after testing i know what the problem is. Here is what i did. The copy protection on the movie BUG and by using your clone mode leaves some copy protection on the copied discs. Look at my posts with AnyDVD reading the original disc and whats on it and now look at my post with AnyDVD reading your cloned disc. I never seen this before. Now i used the same hardware and software so everything would be the same. My conclusion is that the clone part of your software when used with certain DVD's with certain copy protection on it don't fly 100%. However this movie will copy fine if you choose FULL COPY mode with your software. Now i did another test with this version and the CLONE MODE. I used the movie KNOCKED UP which is another new release R1 for today. However it has a different copy protection then BUG. The movie KNOCKED UP cloned 100% without any problems. By me doing this and using the same hardware and software is telling me the CLONE mode in this version has a glitch with certain copy protections however if FULL COPY mode is used instead of CLONE it will work and copy BUG. Below you can see the results of AnyDVD reading the original disc and the Clone made with DVDFab 3.2.0.0 in the CLONE mode. This disc cloned 100% but again the copy protection is'nt the same as BUG movie.

That's easy. You try a rip without it. If it fails, turn it on and re-rip.

@gashliquor

Just speculating here - but there appears to be a problem with the VTS_VOBU_ADMAP table. Maybe check it in IfoEdit.

Of course, the PGC structure might also be incorrect. Try loading your cloned DVD into PgcEdit.

Thanks SamuriHL, you know I not as savvy with this type of technology yet, but your assumption makes sense to me. Thanks.
