* New: Improved logic for "Enable PathPlayer when necessary".

DVDFab will not enable PathPlayer in normal cases when opening DVD. Once DVDFab detects a reading error when copying DVD, it will ask user to restart DVDFab to reopen the DVD by using PathPlayer. In this way, DVDFab has the ability of opening DVD as fast as before, and uses PathPlayer when really necessary.

* New: Added support for a new CORE X2 protection.
* New: Added display of drive, disc and protection info in "Settings -> Info" window.
* New: Added display of PathPlayer scanning result in "Settings -> Info" window.
* New: Added "Save IFO Files" feature in "Settings -> Info" window.
* New: Do not rely on Windows file system completely when opening DVD.
* New: Improved "Reset DMA" feature on Windows 2000/XP.
* New: Updated language files.
* Fix: Compatibility problem with some Plextor drives, like PX-760A, PX-760SA, etc.
* Fix: Error 400(100 0 3 701) when copying DVD in certain cases.
* Fix: Error 400(20 14) when copying DVD in certain cases.
* Fix: PathPlayer may remove playable content in certain cases.
* Fix: A crash problem when opening DVD in certain cases.
* Fix: Bitrate is wrong when using 2-pass encoding mode for "DVD to Mobile".
* Fix: Several minor problems.

Beta 3.1.9.5 and Release 3.2.0.0 have both returned the following error while trying to copy Hannibal Rising (R4);

Task_1 failed! Error=102(VIDEO_TS.VOB 0 2048)
Process failed!

This does not occur with Beta 3.1.9.2

New to the product and I am having troubles with backups. I have tried multiple discs with the following error. Have seached and only found reference by K1LL3M above.

08:04:15: Task_1 failed! Error=102(VTS_02_0.VOB 980992 247808)

This looks like a compatibility problem Fengtao, as it is the same drive.

It is. It's with plextor drives. See the 3.1.9.5 beta thread for more info. This could be an issue. To get around it temporarily, try disabling the read ahead cache.

I have the Plextor PX-760SA and I have noticed in the past it was very sensitive to DVDs that were less than perfect. Now I'm not saying that this is the case in this situation, but it's just something to think about. I think the reason for its sensitivity may be because it reads pressed DVD at such a high speed. (DVD5 & DVD9 @ 16x) I'm going to rip some DVDs and report the results.

I'm getting this error already with 3.1.9.5 already when PathPlayer is active. But when not active, titles are not recocnized properly. Reading from ISO to HDD FOLDER. ISO is playing good through virtual DVD-ROM.

DVD is BLOOD_TRAILS (R2) released in Slovakia and Czech Republic. I've sent the IFO's already few days ago.

As SamuriHL stated previously, refer to the DVDFab Decrypter 3.1.9.5 beta thread.

I first reported this error not knowing the specfic cause but it now appears to happen with all Plextor drives regardless of of whether the drive is PATA or SATA. I happened to disable the read-ahead cache and the problem vanished. I, personally, experienced it with both PX-708A and PX-760A drives. I never had the problem before 3.1.9.5 beta but there is another person who has reported that it happened to them with all the 3.1.9.x beta releases. DVDFab Decrypter 3.1.9.2 beta worked fine with the read-ahead cache enabled.

The temporary solution if you have a Plextor drive is disabling the read-ahead cache under Common Preferences | DVD | Read | Cache Control within DVDFab Decrypter.

Great work as usual, but I'm still not able to backup "Mulberry Street" (R2, German). Tried the newest version all the recent betas and different DVD drives. The backup process always stops at 6,52 percent (where the movie starts).

I bought the DVD, so if it might be of some help I could post the DVD's IFO files at any time. Just a thought.

This problem is only with real Plextor drives like the 760A,755SA, 716A, 708A, not with rebadged Plextor drives, so if you have lets say a 740A you will not experience this problem.

got a question about pathplayer..settings are pre-selected.300 and 30..any explanations why those settings?..........also "enable pathplayer when necessary' is selected...any problem if i select "always enable pathplayer" .

I take back what i have said below. After checking out my copy. DVDFab 3, 2, 0, 0 does not copy the movie BUG released today. I used the clone mode. The movie plays as far as the menu then thats it!.



I have a 755UF and a 760A that i made into a USB. I will see if these fail. With a fake plextor 810UF (LG) it worked fine. Here is the DL copy results for the movie BUG. Going to try the movie NEXT and KNOCKED UP with real plextors except there running thru USB.


Here is what AnyDVD had to say about BUG and here is how flawless DVDFab 3.2.0.0 handled it.

The movie does not play in my test machine which i expect it to play in. If it plays in this certain machine it will 99% play in almost any player. I tried the copy in my Oppo 981-HD and it works fine. However i can throw the copy like a frisbee in the street and the Oppo would play it.
