When I tried to copy "main movie", I got an error:
"Failed to create directory"... it gives me the directory that I chose, which in this case is:
U:\Das_Parfuem\MainMovie\

but it ends up like this:

U:\Das_Parfuem\MainMovie\:\

It's the same if I want to copy the whole movie... it adds the colon ":" and gives me the error message.

I did the following:
I reverted back to version 3.1.7.8 and that's working like a charm, but what I might have forgotten to do before trying to rip with version 3.1.7.9 is to delete the folders that DVDFab had already created with the former version. That may have been the cause of the error message. I'll try installing 3.1.7.9 and rerip after 3.1.7.8 is finished to check my theory.

I'll have to check that later because my beautiful darling is making some great kerguelen cabbage and when she seduces me... that's a lot more interesting than ripping DVD's... so...

I will do the check later, as I stated... it's just that it's my second priority at the moment, so I'll get back to it.

Just to be a bit more forthcoming, the only prog, apart from DVDFab, which I have installed, is PsP 8.10, and the usual security stuff which I switch off while using DVDFab.

My two daughters are the adepts at using this software, ever since they found that it's possible to put dvd's onto their iPods and PVP's.

Just thought that I'd change the needle a little bit this morning.

But I really do appreciate the way in which Fengtao, Ting, and the others in their team keep the code so tight and elegant. Dunno if they ever wrote code for the old Speccy 48k, but their style of writing is reminiscent of those days, when every bit of memory counted.

The no reboot add on in the last update is way cool. I didn't mind rebooting, but now that I don't, well, it just gives me more time to back up, LOL. ~ Mike

Firstly i would like to say that this software is great! def one of the best.
But i am still having problems with it.

In Customize Mode, i like to pick and choose what i want from each dvd. But it seems that when i go to burn the disc it says that their is not enough room on the disc. I have put it on DVD 5 and 4700mb total size to write to disc.
I have even tryed a higher and lower value, but the same problem still happens. Can you help?

I think their is something wrong with the scale down process when copying the disc. Because when i check the size of the folder which has just been converted it is under 4700mb (normally 4029-4059mb).

Please help on this matter.

Reboot seems to be working as in mine did not ask to reboot.

Text for mobile devices still off a bit. If you rearrange the order when DVDFab reopens, only one mobile device displays and if the iPod or the PSP have been customized, that text is gone. It seems the custom profile.xml file is being over written and all customization is being lost. And still can only have one device of the basic types. So while Archos and the Creative Zen are listed as PVP's and I have both. I can only have one listed via edit text.

I have manually added the extra PVP device in the custom xml file and it list them but only if I don't touch the custom mobile UI settings. If I do, DVDFab rewrites the xml file and all extra PVP devices are lost lost lost......

No, this is not a big deal. However as this software advances it would be nice to get some of these personalization custom options worked out.

I cannot reproduce your problem.

Please don't edit uictl_customize.xml directly.

I suggest you delete the uictl_customize.xml and let DVDFab create a new one to see the result.

Will do. I'm ripping a dvd at the moment. Will do so as soon as its done.

When I use the up or down keys to move a mobile device up or down on the list is when DVDFab seems to over write the file.

Will get back to you in about an hour......

Have you changed the size of DVD-5?

The max size is 4482 MB (4700 x 1000 x 1000 / 1024 / 1024), not 4700 MB, and the safe max size is 4472 MB for very good media.

Delete the custom file. Actually uninstalled the program, deleted all the profiles, custom xml files, etc., installed clean. Reinstalled and re applied my registration key.

DVDFab at all defaults.

Still did what I am reporting.

If I rename the iPod in the text section, save it, reboot, it shows the "new" name. Go to settings, UI DVD to Mobile, remove a device, use the up and down keys and rearrange the order, DVDFab closes, reopens, I have one mobile device listed, which ever one was on the top of the "show these" list. Go back to config, the iPod is no longer named the custom name but is back to iPod in the text field.

If I rearrange the order at all, DVDFab closes, reopens, I have one mobile device listed in the main menu, whichever mobile device was on the top of the list. All the others are moved to the "no show" list and any custom names are gone.

When I bought this program. which I really LOVE, I was hoping for some followup and updates. I never relized or expected daily updates! WOW. I can't download them fast enough. Thanks Fengtao & Ting You're the greatest.

I tried using the latest beta that you just posted (3.1.7.9) but still couldn't copy Paris By Night 89 (both discs). It stopped at 8.09% when I tried to copy PBN 89 Disc 1 (using Customize option and only copy the Main Movie) and the DVDFab program got stuck (even when I tried to end it in Task Manager).

Please help. thank you.

I also am having the same issue. It appears the video portion is not shrinking. I have had you product for a long time and it is great! I dont understand why a DVD5 wont work on any methods such as movie only or customize. I did notice that a DVD9 will work and the size is the same. There appears to be no compression anymore? Please help.......

I just re-installed the program and I am back up and running. Very strange.... Again you guys are great!!!
