Can anyone suggest a good 'info' tool that examines DVD disks? Especially interested in a tool that gives the exact location of the layer break on a DL disk. It appears that the DVDFab Plat log lists the layer break of the burn, but doesn't list the LB of the original that was read. The Nero tools aren't specific, just give a GB size. Below is a comparison using one of the Nero DVD Speed Tools to get info on a recent DvdFab Plat v3 Clone:

Nero DVD Speed Tools using PO and CO to show graphs lines will drasticly change at LB. Not sure if PO & CO are corect names but on the screen you should have enough info to check the right boxes.

how do i get rid of the fab screen that comes up after i burn and play the dvd "content removed" why just not leave blank screen its only for a second or so, makes the program look cheap

You can change CGP to "Black Screen" in "Settings" -> "DVD to DVD" -> "Customize".

Everything seems to work for me so far: full disc/main movie/ customize all produce files readable with DVD Shrink and WinDVD, and Fab reads and burns from Shrink and DVDFab Express files just fine. Have also tried the "Generic" AVI generator with excellent results. The shell still seems to be fragile: it has crashed twice when trying to open a file from HD; but only when it is not the first job attempted. Opening program with no discs in DVD drives then clicking to choose HD folder works fine. Thank you Fengtao.

When i`ve download this version i got a messsage that a signature from Ad/Spyware (ADSPY/WinFixer.G2) was found.
Also in version 3.0.3.0.
No message in older versions (3.0.2.5)

What does it mean?

Not sure if others are experiencing the same results as I am with 3.0.3.2, but Monster House won't even load up on that version. It also failed on version 3.0.3.0.

Funny thing is that version 3.0.2.0 got it ripped, but just that the rip was a little strange >>>>> it played fine but the menus navigation seemed a little haywire, and when the main movie started on my WinDVD playback software it started as 1:05:00 on the play time. It played the chapters correctly but it just counted up from 1:05:00 ?? It also showed each chapter as chapter 9 ?? The correct chapter sequence played but not according to the WinDVD interface.

Please send us all the .IFO files on Original disc and Backup disc/folder, then we will check the problem.

A recommended way is listed below:
1) Open an Explorer window, and navigate to VIDEO_TS folder of the DVD.
2) Copy all files ending with .IFO to hard disk.
3) ZIP the IFO files on hard disk to one file. Name it with a readable filename, like Stealth_UK.zip.
4) Send the zip file to fengtao(at)dvdidle.com, you need replace (at) with @.

Unfortunately version 3.0.3.3 also failed on Monster House, "Task_1 failed! Error= 400(39 7 22 1 202 398 260"

I'm gonna give it another attempt.

I'll work on getting you the IFOs of the original disc, but as for the IFOs of the 3.0.2.0 rip I no longer have and I cannot reproduce the result because I have no access to that version any longer.

The current beta (3.0.3.3) ha again the problems about some language strings (as german user reported before) and as I reported in the past.

The message about Analyzing and copy in log windows are always in english also with not english interface (ex. Italian).

Please add all text strings for this msgs into language file.

I was able to copy Monster House using 3.0.3.0 with no problems?? Full disk.

"Task_1 failed! Error= 400(39 7 22 1 202 398 260" should not occur in 3.0.3.3, please make sure you use using that version, also you can try to re-download to see the result.

Re-Downloaded 3.0.3.3 Beta, but this time like 3.0.3.2Beta, it also just shut down while analyzing Monster House. Re-downloaded 3.0.3.0 and again failure at VTS_22_0.VOB. Screenshot below.

This is not the Platinum versions I speak of. It's DVDFab Decrypter. If everyone thought it was the plarinum version that I was speaking of, my apologies for not being clearer. Will give 3.0.3.3 another try afterwards.

BTW, I successfully ripped Monster House full disc using RipIt4Me, and also with AnyDVD and DVDShrink (I'm guessing DVD Region+CSS Free would work as well with Shrink), and even DVDFab Decrypter 3.0.2.0 (although the chapters and navagation was a little haywire it did play OK and in sequence).

Good news about DVDFab Dcrypter 3.0.3.0 is that it ripped Monster House movie-only in just 6 minutes !! and it was an absolutely perfect rip.

DVD Shrink errors still continue. This time with MI:3. A little different this time. This time I got the error while doing a deep analysis. I also noticed while trying to preview the extra titles, some would pause during playback.

Still going back to version 2.x there is no problem.

@Dorttocs: This is the DVD Fab forum. Why are you posting a problem with Shrink here? Please post your questions in the appropriate forum so you can get help. Start a thread at the bottom of this page and maybe you will get a quicker response.

I am using DVDFab Decrypter to decrypt and DVD Shrink to compress and select which titles I want to back up. Since DVDFab is in Beta form, I am trying to help the software writer by letting them know what problems are encountered. The updates state that they are trying to fix the compatibility with DVD Shrink. I am just trying to do my part to help.

Maybe my post wasnt clear that I started out by decrypting with DVDFab Decrypter in Full Disc mode.
