This program is getting better and better. It might just be Number 1 real soon, as it now does everything, including Mobile devices.

Fengtao, if not fed back already, with latest 3.x versions, DL backups have been superb, including quick transition at LB. Gracias!

The release date is incorrect. Fengtao released it to day (15 Oct 06) I guess that is what motorcycle is pointing out.

I agree larry3030cd, this program is excellent, now that the " Error 400 " has been fixed this program is as good as anyother if not better. It has many more options. The only thing I would like to see is real time write speed implemented.

Do any of you, just install the new betas over their already installed final releases. Or is it best to install betas in a new directory.

I install over the old. Some of the betas have been very small files--look like just replacement DLLs or other small fixes. I think it knows where to go. I do keep the downloaded installation files in their own "folders-in-a-folder" in case backtracking is necessary.

I think its a perfectly logical question, sometimes people wonder how others do things, and we are all here to learn, maybe Bigmacnc was just wondering how others are performing their installs, I think it was a great question.

I just tested DVDFab Decrypter with the disc that was originally reported as having problems. I ran it through DVD Rebuilder with no problem. The beta looks good from here.

Barry, I test several beta programs and started testing Platinum 3.0 before it was released to the public forum and was given a special pass code promising not to release it further as stability was not known. I put it on a empty drive like I do most beta tests for other SW. I just wanted to know what others are doing in case a question surfaces later. I have learned a lot about DVD drives by testing betas, such as it is not always the program's fault. I have learned that DVD drives can be at fault due to upper & lower filters and conflicts with other registry left over files.

Update:
Problems with video preview seem to have been fixed in 3.0.2.6.
Video displays and start/stop buttons work again. Trying a burn now.

First burn attempt failed and crashed at 64% while reading files from hard drive.

Will now attempt the same burn with Shrink.

And the problem continues......
This time at VTS.01_1.VOB (before it was at VTS.01_3.VOB)
This time a different movie.
Task_1 failed! Error=400
Process failed.
FYU I removed my hard drive with my existing Windows then installed a new hard drive and two new optical drives, installed Windows , drivers, updates and apps.
As I said before - DVDFab Gold is flawed and Fengtao seems to be ignoring my countless complaints.

Same source files burned fine with the old reliable (DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15)

Paul, VSO burning engine hasn't been updated for several versions, so I think it may be a bad media problem, please try again to see the result.

i downloaded 2.0.2.5 and am still having problems using full-disc mode with certain titles when attempting to open in dvd shrink,,, question i have is if i download and instal beta 2.0.2.6 and have the same issues,,, can i go back to stable version 2.0.2.5 just by installing it over the newer beta 2.0.2.6 or should i totallly uninstall the newer version before re-installing the older stable version,,,,

basically what i am asking is, i know you can install newer version (eg. beta 2.0.2.6) over older versions(eg. 2.0.2.5) without uninstalling older versions frist , but can you re-install older version over newer version without uninstalling newer version first,,, hope this makes sense,,,

Maybe it's a typo, and he means 3.0.2.6? Just a guess.

Crash occurred during copy phase, before burn initiated. Thanks for the response.

I will try it again later today when I get some more DL blank media.
