What's New:

- Fix: Error 400 when copying some ARccOS protected DVDs.
- New: Detect on-the-fly decrypter like AnyDVD and DVD43, and it's recommended to disable or uninstall them.
- New: Added text input boxes for Video Bitrate and Volume in "DVD to Mobile".
- Change: Menu is translated now.
- Change: Play sound when there is message for burning, like "please insert media to start write process".

I have no regrets in purchasing the update to Platinum. I have never before encountered such quick responses to suggestions for future releases. Most glad to see the text box inputs in the new beta. With much thanks and keep up the good work.

I guess the latest version is not removing Sony's ARccOS protection as it should. This is the U.S. version of Stay Alive.

The screenshot is for DVD Region+CSS Free, why you say DVDFab doesn't remove ARccOS protection? Could you please tell us in detail?

Oh, I'm sorry, I used v3.0.1.8 (clone) to backup the U.S. version of Stay Alive and the Sony ARccOS protection is still present in the copy.

Understand it now It should a wrong info of DVD Region+CSS Free, since you already backup it.

Please send us all the .IFO files on Original disc and Backup Disc, then we will check the problem.

A recommended way is listed below:
1) Open an Explorer window, and navigate to VIDEO_TS folder of the DVD.
2) Copy all files ending with .IFO to hard disk.
3) ZIP the IFO files on hard disk to one file. Name it with a readable filename, like Stealth_UK.zip.
4) Send the zip file to fengtao(at)dvdidle.com, you need replace (at) with @.

The fix for the arccos, is there also the problem solved with the R2 version of Silent Hill(German)?

Is DVDFab Decrypter Always going to show that dialog box Saying "AnyDVD is detected. You need disable AnyDVD to make DVDFab work correctly."? Because when i run DVDFab Decrypter, "AnyDVD" isn't even running. Is there a way that DVDFab Decrypter can detect "AnyDVD" when it is in memory, and not when it is installed? Or would DVDFab Decrypter have problems evem if it's not running, but installed?

At this point the answer to your question is yes. Whether it is running or not the box will be opened. Maybe Fenqtao can change this in a later version but for now, the box will tell you to disable AnyDVD even if it is already disabled.

I would guess that AnyDVD would have to set to not load at start up and a new reboot and not a complete uninstall. I only used AnyDVD a couple of times and do not really know if it has that feature.

Skypx, since you are using Clone, DVDFab try to keep original structure as much as possible, so DVD Region+CSS Free will give fake info about it. Never mind, it doesn't affect anything, and you backup copy is good.

rapid fire, I think new beta should support Silent Hill (R2, Germany).

bitonio6, I don't see any problem in VTS_03_0.IFO, could you please send me VTS_03_0.VOB to fengtao(at)dvdidle.com? Thanks.

dA CLOwN, I have done test with AnyDVD 6.0.7.0. If AnyDVD is not running, DVDFab will not give your warning.

Thank's for the reply fengtao, but i found out that "AnyDVD" wasn't the program that was triggering the message box. It was the program "Virtual CloneDrive", which is also a product from SlySoft. Virtual CloneDrive runs on startup, but with the "silent" parameter. I could delete it from startup, but i don't know what the process is needed for, so i won't mess with it.

KUDOS to this latest version-finally got a great copy of that major headache of a film I have been trying to back up for over a week. Tonight I downloaded the latest version and 39 minutes later the Clone feature did it's magic & not only handled the protection scheme(s) but all of the problems with the layer break audio & vidio problems I have had. The backup gods have taken pity & smiled upon me, my humble system & on those pricey Verbatim DVD+R DL RW 8x's I purchased.
OK, time to end on a great note- (like a middle C) get some needed zzz's & tomorrow- buy this program- YOU HAVE MADE ME A CONVERT- way to go !!!!

In 3.0.1.8 there are two problems about localization In Setup window

- The string "Dvd to Dvd" is not translated (remain always in english with any language). I already reported yopu for previous version (with screenshoot)
- "Check on the fly decrypetr automatically" text string Into "General" section is not available for translation in master language file.

Thanks for new version where "Common settings"/"About" & "Tutorial" now are localized.

One proposal about official translator.

What do you think to offere a free license to the first persone (like me of course ...) that send you a complete translation for not translated language ?

1. The "DVD to DVD" in Settings is not translated, and it has beend fixed now.

2. The newly added text can be translated in next release.

I'm still having a problem with DVDFab Decrypter v3.0.2.0. When i have Virtual CloneDrive running, DVDFab Decrypter detects it as AnyDVD. Is there a solution to this besides terminating the process?

I just want to point out that I was having problems with a couple of movies. Dvd Fab would dump the disc fine, but I would get an error about invalid data with shrink. I used Nero Recode instead and no problems....
