DVD Region + CSS free not allowing a region 3 disc to play

Just installed latest DVD Region + CSS free. Have three region 3 Bond films. One plays fine on my laptop (set to region 2) but two come up with the following on-player screen message "This player is incompatible with the region marking of this disc".

Player used dosen't matter, get the same message regardless of player.

Anyone had this?

If the error is on-player screen message, it means a RCE protection, you should set "Default Region" to 3 (disc region) to play it correctly.

Hi there

Changing the region on the player/drive defeats the object of DVD Region Free, which includes RCE free for disc and RCP2 for the drive free. I only have one change left on the hardware, which is part of the reason for getting DVD Region Free. I would be stuck in region 3.

Anyone any other thoughts.

Yes that is what he meant, this applies to other fab products also. I would guess it is to help program with the decrypting start point because different regions have been known to have different protection processes.

Let me explain the RCE(region code enhancement):

RCE is a script which can be run by the DVD player, that script can check the DVD drive's region, and refuse to play the disc if the DVD drive's region is not same with the disc region. So you need specify the disc region in our program settings, and our program will simulate the DVD drive's region to be same with the disc region, so that we can remove the RCE protection.
