Happy Thanksgiving Day Kimberley and to all of our North of the border friends up
there in Canada. Don't worry to much about the MRI Kimberley it isn't all that bad
and as Jimbo said it "is a piece of cake" it is just a little bit noisy sounds like when
someone is trying to start a car with a dead battery to me click, click, click, grind,
click, click,. They will give you earplugs and make sure you use them too or you might
just have a headache when you get out of there. I always just think to myself while I'm
in there man wish they'd get that car started already.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends!!

Just found a Lite-On 1693s burner that I'd cannibalized from my brother's old rig. Downloaded the drivers from Lite-On, plugged it in and BAM!! burned a backup of "Tale of Despereaux" like a charm. Funny thing is it'll recognize the Verbs that my Sony wouldn't see. Now I can use my desktop to burn the discs rather than having to fire up my laptop. Used ImgBurn and as predicted the movie came out flawless!!! Just one more reason to Thank you guys for showing me the path to happiness.

Good morning to all or better Howdy Y'all.
A DVDFab question for a change:
I only have the free after trial version so I can't use the feature I am asking about on my computer . If I need too I have a friend that has the full lifetime platinum version.
Can DVDFab merge several .rm files ?
If it can will the merged files still be in .rm format ?
This is just something I'm playing around with I don't plan to keep anything in .rm format.

I've had good luck with Lite-On burners as well.

I booktype my burns, and Lite-On makes that easy with a nifty app...

Hey, cholla, I assume that you're asking about Real Media files. I don't have that player on my pc, so can't answer your question. I trust that SJ, or someone else will have some input...

Yes the .rm files are real media. I only installed the Real Media player about a month ago when I helped a member with a .rm file. This got me curious about how his .rm file was created. His file was 390 MB & 1 hour 58 minutes long. It did have quality problems. What he wanted to do was turn it into DVD compliant format. Which I accomplished & told him how I did this.
I then wanted to see if I could do the reverse with a movie of mine. This way I could "step" on the video a little as possible to see if mine was better quality after converting it to .rm. Then see how well it did when turned back into a DVD compliant format.
The conversion went OK to .rm files but the software I used Easy RealMedia Producer V1.94 creates a seperate .rm file for each .vob.
The "joiner" that is bundled with it is supposed to join or merge the .rm files into one. Easy RealMedia Editor V1.73 is it's name. It fails to do this.
Which is why I wanted to know if DVDFab could.
Easy RealMedia Editor V1.73 doesn't always fail .I made a couple of short clips with DVDShrink from the same movie.
Then I converted those .vobs to .rm with the same settings as the whole movie. I was able to merge those .So I know it isn't a codec problem.
I think this software must have a size limit problem but there is little information on it. I'm working on finding out more but since it is old freeware with the last version from 2006 I probably won't get much.
