I downloaded and printed a "List of Acronyms & Text Messaging Shorthand" the other day from... http://www.netlingo.com/emailsh.cfm and it has helped a lot.

My weekend was ok, I changed my IDE cable it was a 40 wire so I put in a 80 wire
Just don't understand why HP would use an 80 wire IDE cable for the Hard Drive and then turn around and use a 40 wire IDE cable for the CD-Rom and the DVD drive

How and what does the 80 wire improve over the 40 wire?

Better data flow and shielded. I use 80 wire round IDE cables and have had no problems with them.

Hi Ron,
It's been 2 weeks no butts. My wife started Chantix yesterday

I just purchased dvdfab platinum and got my reg. key. I double clicked and restarted my PC. I guess I have the registered version as it doesn't some up with trial version days left on the screen.

I can't copy any movies right away as it says this dvd has CSS protection and can't be copied with this version 3.1.6.2.

I did uninstall my old trial version of 2 months ago and reinstalled the trial version and maybe that is causing the problem?

Perhaps it takes some time to register my name on their database? I went to the lost key area of the website and it says not to contact them if I just ordered. If that is so I wish they tell the customers in advance the procedure.

Hello Oiler and welcome to the DVDFab forum at CD Freaks
It sounds like you have downloaded the Non CSS version
try the download at the link below
http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm
and since you have done an uninstall I think you should do a "Clean" uninstal first before you install the right version.
Below in my signature you will find info on how to do a clean uninstall of DVDFab Platinum or Gold

Thats great about the smoking. Should be even easier now that the wife's quiting too. What are we going to do with all that money we'll be saving?

About the 80 wire cable. Do I just turn off the PC, open it up, change the cable out, close it up and turn it back on? When the PC reboots will it know it's been changed and I'll be done with it or do I need to screw around in the device manager or other places that I know nothing about?

Also i always touch the metal case to discharge any static in my body before touching anything inside.

Yeah just open it up and look to see how many wires are on your IDE ribbon cable. If you get to 40 and your half way then you have a 80 wire cable already.

Spent $289 on the dog at the vet. Just shots, heart worm meds (for 6 months),and flee and tick meds (for 6 months). So there went my savings

Next I would like to chang out this do nothing CD drive for another burner.
I'll get back to you all on that.
